As some of you may, or may not know, Monsterland Forums member Trentonfella has departed for Brunswick, Georgia, located in the extreme southeastern tip of the state(near Savannah) for training related to his job. This training will last around six months and "Trent" will probably not be online very often, at least into the immediate future.
I first met this young man while posting at Monster Zero's forums, then later at a message board called It Came from Planet X. I consider myself fortunate to have developed an internet friendship with Trent, as I feel likewise about many others, including quite a few people here.
I'm going to pin this "Good Luck" thread for a while. If you want to post anything in support of Trentonfella please do so here. Hopefully he'll see our thread here at some point during the progression of his training. Thanks everyone. :)

Sincerely,

Lee "Packmule" Merritt

Trenton, I don't know you too well, and Im not sure what you are even training for, but good luck all the same. I noticed you were a Cowboys fan from the obvious plug in your sig. Hope whatever you are doing you will still be able to catch their games.

Trent is going through training to become an investigative agent with the Internal Revenue Service. My apologies for not mentioning this in my initial post.

Well since you asked and it's good timing....here's an update :D Just completed the first half of training (it's broken into 2 parts - General Criminal Investigation Training and then Agency Specific Training) and it wasn't that...definitely had some rough moments but nothing that was unbearable (well the food is pretty unbearable lol). I started the 2nd half ( the agency Specific Training) a week ago and it's definitely a lot harder than the first half so I'll be working extra hard after the Christmas Break.

But as for an idea of how the training is....well there is a physical training part and an academic part. One of my days was this: Hit the weight room for 40 to 50 minutes, then run a 1.5 miles and arrest someone and give them a full search. After that, take an exam and after that sit through 4 hours of class time. Each day is always something different and it only gets harder after each day.

Well hope that gives everyone a small idea of what I've gotten myself into lol Take care and Happy Holidays everyone xmas smiley

Sounds pretty demanding Trent, but all the same Im sure its a character building experience. My time in Army basic training wasnt exactly enjoyable, but I learned things about myself I never knew. Good luck with the second half of your training and enjoy Christmas break.

Yea it is demanding but like you said, it builds character and is well worth it. I only have lil over 2 months left so, I'm almost done lol
