Nice work Jae! I believe I could use the one on the bottom right now with the current forum skin. The one with the darker background I can copy into my computer and downsize into a sig banner for promos at other websites. In time, should I change the skin of this site to black or a darker color I could use this image as well as a banner. thumbs up I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 in my computer Jae but I'm not very good at all at using it beyond simple photo manipulation techniques.  Thanks for putting in the work on these images. I appreciate it!

Looks good! thumbs up If you see me reference the forum skin here in my comments, regarding these images, there's a reason: beginning in October of last year I solicited, and received, about twenty evaluations, some posted at various IF support/services sites and others by PM, almost all of them critical of the banner I was using. Their criticism was mostly based on what they claimed was a forum skin and banner background color that were not enough alike. I have been told that this site has driven people off from registering here solely based on my banner...though obviously I can't prove it. At this point I'm willing to use member submissions for forum banners as long as their principal color background is relatively close to the forum skin of this site. I always use member submissions as promo sig banners when I'm posting at other sites, and I include the member's username in the "credits" of the image. |

I have done a bit of "fiddling" myself with Photoshop 7.0 and without any luck. I might as well be a Neanderthal man trying to figure out the contents of an algebra book when it comes to understanding some of the Photoshop tutorials I've seen. I've made numerous requests for forum banners at several support/services sites: in most cases they were delayed for one reason or another and in two cases I was told my requests weren't reasonable, despite following all the required formats in making the requests. confused |

Whoa. Yeah, I'd say this button is an upgrade.  Thanks Jae!  Jae, I noticed that this buttons' dimensions are 88 x 33. The support/services boards I post at are very picky and will only use 88 x 31 buttons. I have tried downsizing animated images in Photoshop 7.0 and it always messes the image up(it no longer "animates"). Can you adjust this button to 88x31? If not I'll try to do it tomorrow. Thanks again! :) |

I should be able to downsize it with UltraConverter, a program I bought online early last year for $25 that changes the format of psd files to jpg and gif, the latter more "ImageShack" friendly. UltraConverter also allows for editing the image sizes(height and width). |

Yes, your button submission is a gif file. The problem with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 when trying to downsize it: the Photoshop program tries to separate the "animation" from the non-animation of the file-probably a poor way of describing it I'm sure. cross eyed |

I appreciate that Jae. I tried using Ultra Converter to modify the height to 31px but it broke the image down into "pages", something it does with every animated gif I've ever tried re-sizing. Thanks again! thumbs up |
