I just recently rented 3:10 to Yuma starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Despite the fact that I'm not a western fan I really enjoyed this film. An engaging plot that was well acted by the always excellent leading men. If you haven't seen it I really do recommend it.

I bought this film on Blu-Ray DVD when it was released. It was advertised as being "the best western since Unforgiven". I couldn't agree more. Russell Crowe and Christian Bale really drive this movie along. The character study of these two men, and their changing relationship as the movie progresses, was very interesting to watch. I can't recall the actors name but the guy who played Crowe's 'right hand man" was also very good: a particularly vile and despicable fellow.

Yeah, he was pretty loathsome. Crowe's character ended up being quite likable, which surprised me very much.

I intend to see this movie soon :)

My grandfather loves war films, and he's got it, I might loan it from him.

The actor's name is Ben Foster. Believe it or not, he also played Angel in X-men 3. But this is one of the great westerns, I was glad I got to see it in theaters. This has been the ONLY western I've ever seen in theaters and I'm glad I did.
