I like this series, very underrated. I feel it sported some of the best special effects in the Showa Ultra Series(It was the most expensive), and was also one of the most violent series, especially in the Birdon arc(18,19,maybe 20).

Wasn't this also the series where Dan Moreboshe, as Ultraseven, had his leg broken(and with an audio effect of a bone splintering) by Magma Seijin at the beginning of this series? heyo

No, that's Leo's series.

Thanks for the link and clarification. Ultraseven put up a damn good fight but he was outnumbered two to one, then three to one when the humanoid lion headed monster appeared with the sword. Ultraseven should have probably retreated at that point...but these "Ultras" rarely, if ever, back down from a fight, even if outnumbered, as we've seen over and over again.

Well, though it took some time, he got better!

And yes, it's one of the more violent series (Taro outright dies a few times), which is amusing, since it's supposed to be the "fairytale" among Ultraman series. I'm rather interested in reading into Japanese fairytales now :)
