I've never seen the series or film! I hear a lot of folks discussing the series with fondness, but I haven't got a clue as to how enjoyable or good this series might be. ermme orange Is the original series available on DVD or is it coming to DVD? If it's available, perhaps a rental is in my future.

The original Ultraman television series, which debuted in 1966, is officially available on DVD at Yesasia.com

Yeah, it is BCI.

Despite the legal entanglements between Tsubaraya and Chaiyo I plan on snapping up the BCI release of the 1966 Ultraman series, assuming it is released on schedule. happy dance

Late edit: Here is a good link on the release of Ultraman(1966) to DVD by BCI: Henshin Online

I recently thought about this idea, what monster would you pick for each series to represent that series.

Ultraman original series: Baltan or Pygmon

Ultraseven: King Joe

Those are the only series I've seen but I'm sure there are others with monsters representing them.

Good "symbolic" monsters for the original Ultraman(1966) series and Ultraseven(1967-1968): Baltan-Seijin(for the original series) and, as you mentioned, King Joe(for the Ultraseven series) . :)

Ah! That's the word, I couldn't thin k last night and I got to a point that I kept telling my self represented isn't a word (my brain was fried)

For The Return Of Ultraman(1971-1972) I would probably go with Takkong. Let me know what you think after you've watched this serie's episodes, Corey. :)

I think both Twintail and Bemstar could also represent Ultraman Jack.
