If you don't mind my asking, why do you say that?

Well HD does have better quality but I don't really want one. The only reason I would want an HDTV is so I can play my PS3 games. ;) and yes they are pretty overrated, The best price I could find for an HDTV at stores was $300 for one the size of my Computer screen.

When you hook up your PS3 to a HDTV (using an HDMI cord) you let me know if you still think it's overrated winky

I don't think HD is overrated. I watched the movie Hoffa(1992) last night on FMC(Fox Movie Channel) on my newly installed A T & T U-Verse cable channel programming package, which includes a DVR. The movie was uncut, commercial free and in it's original aspect ratio of 2:40.1 widescreen. The picture clarity was terrific. My U-Verse DVR/control box is connected to my 32" LCD HD television using an HDMI cable. I could see a noticeable difference also when watching some college football games on ESPN(in HD) as well. winky

You'll also see a noticeable difference on the faces of the Eagles' players after they lose to Dallas this year too, HD tears! tongue-1 very funny

Suggestion, Trent: stock up on a few onions, which you can use as an excuse for moisture coming out of your tear ducts to guests and friends after the Cleveland Browns blast the Dallas Cowboys in a week. topper

Topic-here's an interesting link I found related to HD TVs: http://www.hdtvinfoport.com/

Sorry dude. HDTV makes all the difference in the world when watching TV today. Sports for instance is the perfect example. Football, basketball, baseball, Nascar, heck, even the Olympics (which were very good BTW) looks awesome in HD.

I play my PS3 on my HDTV with an HDMI hookup man, and let me tell you, the graphics are glorious. My wife almost thought I was watching a real football game when I was playing Madden. And nobody said that HDTV's were gonna be cheap. Although I see alot of them with some very reasonable prices. They're worth the money though.

That price point should sell a good number of TV's this Holiday season, combined with the rumors of 199 dollar and 150 dollar blu-ray players that are set to release for the Christmas season.

Last year I used all of my Christmas bonus to buy a $300 Samsung Blu-Ray player at Best Buy. I'm hoping to see a $149 price point on Blu-Ray players because if I do that will be my Christmas "present" to myself. winky
