For those who enjoy giant monster movies be sure to check out THE MEG, opening in theaters on August 10th, 2018. This film, based on the 1997 book "Meg", written by Steve Alten, features an enormous, 75 foot long Megalodon shark! Other giant monster movies that we fans can look forward to: GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS(in 2019) and GODZILLA VS KONG in 2020! PACIFIC RIM-UPRISING(2018), the sequel to 2013's "Pacific Rim", is about to release to Ultra 4k and Blu Ray. In these movies, 250 foot tall robots defend Earth from an assault of other worldly giant monsters(kaiju).

After recently watching Saw 3 and 4 again, I began to really think about the loose ends in this series and started piecing together some ideas and theories about why events in this movie played out the way they did, I've also generated some theories about the content of the next Saw film based upon some of the still open paths that Saw 4 left us with.

If anyone wants to discuss their own thoughts or predictions for the plot, feel free to do so here, personally I'd love to discuss a few of the small details I noticed while watching that I believe are clues to the future of the story.

Am advanced teaser posted has been released for Saw VI, scheduled to hit theaters on 10/23/09. To see it click the link: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_13839.html

I like the "Saw" films but at this point a sixth film in this franchise borders, IMO on insanity.

I finally got around to viewing Saw 5 last night. Still not able to really put my finger on whether I liked it or not. I really thought the water cube trap was cool and the way FBI agent Strahm gave himself a trach to escape the trap was a clever move. However, the film felt more far-fetched and drawn out than any of the films before it, and although it was still entertaining, I can say that I'm looking forward to the 6th installment hopefully being the last.

eek!

Wow, maybe this series of films will trump the long-running Freddy and Jason series of movies. I'm thinking it won't be such a good thing, I found the 5th film quite subpar as compared to the others.

Click the link to see an advance, if brief and rather generic teaser video for Saw VI, scheduled to open in theaters...when else? This October: http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=27654

Those individuals who have worked to further perpetuate this film franchise, and since the third "Saw" film, apparently are not familiar with the term "ad nauseam".

Enough till they stop making cash. I hope that the NOES remake will knock down the Saw series once and for all. The Hallween movies seem to be the only ones doing a successful job at that right now.

I, for once, have finaly seen Saw 2 and 3 tonight since it was on the SciFi Channel and I wanted to watch something new. S2 was not as good as the first film, which works just as good as a stand alone as the original Hallween. Though S3 was a prety good contender to the original, especialy the character development improvement and the better story arc connecting the victims. It may seem like they pull some of the stuff out of their ass at the last minute but it was entertaining. Though Bousmann's direction on both films is not as good as the first film.

I've seen all the others so I'll be seeing number six today or tomorrow. I think the first was clever and scary as a stand alone movie,I'm not sure it all needed stretching out into tons of sequels though! They're often inventive and genuinely nasty [which sad to say I do enjoy sometimes!],but to be honest getting a little tiresome now. After Part Three really seemed to push the boundaries in terms off gory nastiness for a US mainstream horror movie,Parts Four and Five all seemed a bit redundant, with the writers obviously really struggling to further the story, and number Five was actually quite poor to me. Still, word is the new film is a big improvement, and I'm sure the old gorehound in me will find things in it to enjoy!

I watched Saw VI(2009) last night on DVD. I admit it was considerably better IMO than the fourth and fifth installments.
