Haley was awesome in Watchmen. Pretty much the only thing I liked about that movie. I like Robert Englund a lot, though. Nobody's ever gonna top him. But Haley is about the best choice they could have made besides Englund himself.

Wes Craven seems a bit unhappy about the remake. I still hope it's good, but I respect Wes Craven. They should have gotten his blessing or kept him involved in it.

I wasn't aware the script for the ANOES remake had already been written. I'm not sure I'd want to read it in advance either. This remake is a film I'd likely go to see in a movie theater so I wouldn't want to know too many details in advance. winky

I wonder if his disdain is in regards to the film's plot or other details or because he's not involved in the production of the movie itself.

nightmare on elm st 2 was disapointing, Jesse screams like a little girl,my and guy getting whipped bye a towel yesh, could it get any worse

I also thought ANOES 2 was disappointing... but I didn't find it a terrible sequel, just average (5/10) IMO and I also disliked the towel whipping and Jesse's screaming. topper

It could be worst... if Daniel (Blackdeath0001) was using his George voice to overdub Robert Englund's Freddy voice. loco

If a 5 out of 10 is average to you, Matthew then what would qualify as "terrible" on a scale of 1-10? heyo

The first official set pics of actor Jackie Earle Haley as a pre "burn" Fred Krueger in the upcoming ANOES remake film have appeared on the web. To see them click the link: http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/31879/see-the-new-krueger-before-burn

I don't find that picture impressive, it would be better if he was wearing his Red and Green sweater instead of that T-Shirt.

Bear in mind, Matthew that this is an impromptu(unstaged) set picture: the picture itself isn't a lot to look at but rather is just a sneak peek, if you will, to whet the appetites of die hard fans of the ANOES films and the character Freddy Krueger.

Personally, I believe Jackie Earle Haley is the best casting choice not named Robert Englund to play Krueger: he's an accomplished actor. That, along with what hopefully will be a decent story and what I would expect will be great makeup effects, will make the ANOES "reboot" film decent.

I'm not even going to bother to actually watch the remake.
Since in my opinion there is only one Freddy.
