but it seemed to have no new scare of it's own and lead us to believe that Heather Langenkamp has no friends other then fellow co-stars from a Nightmare on Elm Street and I really didn't like the new look for Freddy....he looked like a rubber witch that had been attacked by a cheese grater....though I did like that trench coat

I can understand these reasons, When I first saw it, I thought it was nothing special, but after watching it a few more times, I liked it.

Thanks, packmule

You're welcome buddy. :)

Topic: though I do not like the idea of a Robert Englund-less NOES film I have to admit I'm curious as to who will get the "Krueger" role...and what the first trailer for this film will look like.

Not me. I think the reason I like the first two NOES films the best is because, to me, Freddy doesn't lay on the one liners as much. The first two films seem to have a darker, more edgy "feel". I like the third NOES film as well. These movies started to go down hill, for me, with the fourth NOES film. ;)

IMO While ANOES 2 did have Freddy not uses as much one-liners and is darker but IMO that doesnt help it, I personally like Freddy's Dead more, my reasons:

My reasons from liking FD more then ANOES 2:

Part 2's homosexual tone (IMO doesn't work well with the serious tone)

Freddy attacking people during the pool party scene (Many of the teens are bigger then him.. IMO they could have fought back)

The human faced dogs (I didn't like it)

The Exploding bird (Another Idea I didn't like)

The Kills (IMO Not very creative... a guy getting stripped naked and whipped by towels is one of my least favorite Freddy kills)
