I wouldn't go walking right into anyones house, but it was the 70's...I guess people were a little friendlier then and less cautious. Nowadays you could expect to be met with the barrel of a shotgun walking into a house like that.

Well I've seen things from the 50's which implied people from rural America would shoot at people who were on their property so I find it unlikely that the 70's would be any different....hell even Drayton Sawyer said that people around those parts aren't friendly to those poking around their property when they were at the gas station so.....I still say it's full blown stupidity on Kirk's behalf

The warning definetly should have been enough, that much is true. For me, the creepiness of the house would have been enough to keep me far away. It's possible that Kirks stupidity came from the script trying to fit the teens into the cliche "carefree" roles that many teen types have in these kinds of films.

Kim Henkel has written another script for what may be the next Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. The link: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_11684.html

Yikes I think Kim Henkel can't make anything remote good without Tobe Hooper there who I suspect was the one with the talent.....Henkel made the 4th asn that was one of the most unholy tragedies committed to film with no redeemable traits what so ever....Henkel couldn't even throw together a coherent narrative.....I think his done enough damage to that franchise

you could say that....then again it might be due to this claims that the 4th travesty he claimed was the real sequel and fixed the franchise.....kinda leaved you with very little faith in his talents

There's a rumor circulating at "SlashFilm" that Tobe Hooper is in talks to direct another "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" film. Read more: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16864.html
