Question: who is the character in the black/purple outfit between Spidey and Wolverine? heyo

The purple guy is Kang. He's not a very well known supervillian, but from what I've read he's made a few appearances in the Avengers comic books. His special ability is being able to travel through time, and he's used the ability to acquire weapons, knowledge, and technology in an attempt to control the earth.

Seeing those pics brings back some memories. I had all of those figures when I was a kid. Heck, my Iron Man started to lose the yellow color in its chest piece just like your is, Josh.

thumbs up!

Yeah. I still have a small box of figures at my parents house, and a few of them are these secret wars figures. Most of those figures are in extremely por condition though. They were played with heavily, and almost all of the ones I had suffered from heavy paint wear.

As far as Iron Man goes, I have another figure in the package still, but the one in the pic is one of the best condition ones I could find as far as loose figures go. The Secret Wars line really wasnt designed too well as far as the paint went, most loose figures found now have suffered quite a bit of paint wear.

Secret Invasion 3 and Final Crisis are out. Both did their jobs pretty well by my standards.

Found a pretty good deal on Craigslist and picked up a box of about 250 comics from some guy for 30 bucks. I can't really afford to buy new comics at newsstand price but this was a pretty good deal just so I have some stuff to read. The box contained an assortment of comics, most looked interesting, only a few looked like junk, here are some of the highlights:

about 30 random issues of X-Men
about 20 issues of X-Factor
X-Force #1-30 with a couple missing here and there
a few issues of Cable solo series
a few issues of Wolverine solo series
A few issues of Avengers
The New Warriors issues #25-40 or so
Random issues of Hulk, Ghost Rider, and a few other more obscure marvel hero series

It seems the guy must have been a Mutant fan, most of the books involve X-men. Looks like I'll be reading for awhile.

The ones I have are Batman The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, 303 by Garth Ennis, and Aliens vs Predator by Dark Horse.

Anyone reading any current comics? I'm currently reading the Green Lantern (which has been amazing for the past 4 or so years) and just finished reading the Avengers and Secret Invasion. I'm looking forward to picking up the Flash: Rebirth when it comes out.

GREEN LANTERN is an amazing comic. I'm really enjoying this "Rage of the Red Lanterns" and looking forward to "The Blackest Night".

INVINCIBLE IRON MAN is another enjoyable series. I also read THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and several of IDW's Star Trek comics. Speaking of IDW, G.I. JOE #1 will be out this week so I'll be checking that one out.

Crow, I too am looking forward to FLASH: REBIRTH. Also, SUPERMAN: SECRET ORIGIN. Both series are to be written by Geoff Johns, so you know they'll be good.

Also, later this year Mark Millar will be returning to the "Ultimate Marvel Universe" for ULTIMATE AVENGERS. I am really excited for that one.

Completely forgot about Millar's Ultimate return. Should be really great (if there's any Avengers left after Ultimatum that is)
