Anyone getting Grand Theft Auto IV? I'll be getting my pre-order come Wednesday. I actually haven't been excited about this installment as is have in the past but after reading several reviews about the multiplayer, I've gotten somewhat eager to play this one. I've been a fan of the extreme open ended game play of the series. Just wondered if anyone else was getting the title. |

I'll most likely pick this up but not at launch, I'll probably wait 3 or 4 months as there are too many other games I'm trying to play right now. I enjoy the GTA series, but it's not a staple favorite of mine. My favorite of the GTA's was Vice City because I liked the 80's setting. When vice city stories came out for PS2 I waited a few months and picked it up for 10 bucks but I havent made it too far in that one yet, I've only completed about 20 missions or so. |

You know I was really into GTA when it first came out on the computer but as each game has come out, I care less and less...it's kind of how I feel about the Final Fantasy series. |

The reviews are in and it seems almost ridiculous...this game has gotten a perfect 10/10 from a bunch of different review sites and publications. It might be the highest rated game of all time. Not even some of the Zelda and Mario games got that many perfect scores. |

Got it yesterday and barely had a chance to play it. It's so good in the sense that you literally are living the life of an illegal immigrant hitman in New York City. Everything from the realistic physics (if you crash at a high speed you WILL fly out of the windshield), new and improved camera and aiming and little touches and additions they put in make the city come to life. You have a cell phone you can use to full functionality (can even change and buy new themes and ringtones), you can browse the internet, you can call 911 if you want to, New Yorkers are smoking and reading outside instead of standing around, and everything is active. The story is surprisingly deep (so far). I really enjoy the single player. I have yet to play online multiplayer yet. You can free roam the entire city, deathmatch, territories, Co-Op, and Cops and Robbers type game apparently. I'll probably play online come Fri or Sat. Overall it's great but not perfect. So far (like I said, I'm not too far) you can't enter as many buildings or stores as San Andreas (maybe I'm just missing them but I can't find that many). Also the lack of LAN multiplayer annoys me. I hate some of the people on X-box live and I rarely play on LIVE. I'd much rather just get my friends on a lag free LAN in my house to just fool around in free roam to see how long we can last on a building with sniper rifles and rocket launchers on 6 stars. Other than that, it's a near perfect game. I'm loving it. |

I used to love GTA 3, but having played Vice City until the letters wore off my controllers, I have to say that that is my favorite GTA game. I have played SA, and I didn't like the dialog, but I like that there is a LOT to do in that game, so I think I will get it. My boyfriend wants to get GTA 4, so when we come back from vacation, we'll get that game as well. |

As of right now I still haven't gotten GTA 4 yet. Honestly just haven't had the time to play it yet. I'm heavy into SoulCalibur 4 right now so maybe when Im tired of that. I'm hoping that by the time I'm ready to get GTA 4, I can get it on sale for like 40 bucks or so since it's been out a little while now. |
