These are two new American made indie short films[around 40 minutes each] featuring 'Ultra-Man'-like characters.They were made my a group of university students. They have some stunning visuals and really good choreographed fight scenes.The first film;"ZERO TROOPER-F"is more of a dramady,and just so happens to have giant monsters.The sequel ;"GREENSIDE"is more hardcore kaiju action. http://robojapan.blogspot.com/2008/04/ultr...-f-defends.html and: http://io9.com/384826/giant-monster-trashe...dison-wisconsin and: http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/trailer-fo...ndie-greenside/ and then here's the official website: http://www.zerotrooper.com/ Here as a special treat is the opening sequence of the first film: http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/complete-o...s-zero-trooper/ rockin'

Some of the effects remind me of some of the post 1990 "Ultraman" TV series, primarily "Ultraman Towards The Future"(the Australian Ultra TV series starring Dore Krausse).

Good stuff, Avera. It was kind of bizarre, the one sequence where Abrams is playing in the kid's park by himself...while jet fighters engage the "monster" lol

I see, Avery, that you have mixed it up a little with member Brianzilla2004 at the ATARI Godzilla forums. very funny

This young man certainly speaks his mind...doesn't he? tongue-2

I think there's a tendency, with many of the younger guys on these message boards, to take far too many things way too seriously. Brian is a guy who does this. Hopefully as he gets older he'll see the need to slow down and just accept many of these fan made and other low(er) budget features at face value...and learn to appreciate the efforts of those who take the time to make them.

Now; this is freaking awesome news!!

WATCH BOTH SHORT FILMS NOW FOR FREE ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

"ZERO TROOPER-F":

http://www.zerotrooper.com/zerotrooperf/watch.html

"GREENSIDE":

http://www.zerotrooper.com/greenside/watch.html

"ZERO TROOPER-F" is a dramedy/spoof of shows like "Ultra-Man" and "GREENSIDE" is it's straight-faced martial arts extravaganza of a sequel!! Both run around 40 minutes each. These are really fun little tributes/homages to Japanese cinema and television shows. I loved them both. Very well made for such tight budgets. Enjoy!!!!
