A "Green Lantern" film is in the works: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=38858

I believe there are some rumblings that a reboot of "Superman" on the big screen may happen within the next few years.

Samuel L. Jackson has signed a nine picture deal with Marvel Entertainment, presumably to reprise his role of SHIELD's "Nick Fury", seen briefly at the end of Iron Man(2008): http://www.superherohype.com/news/ironmannews.php?id=8118

for me, i'm a huge fan of comics, collected um for yearsss! i collected silver surfer, hulk, batman, spider man. etc. the movies are just great, or just bad! the spider man films where great!!!! the 3rd i was iffy. being a silver surfer fan, i was immensly dissapointed with the second fantastic four film.
for HULK, the ang lee version is ok, a weird and different experience of a film, the new one is most likely better in my opinion.
so that mostly all.

Mickey Rourke has been officially confirmed as one of the villains for Iron Man 2, scheduled for theatrical release on May 7, 2010, and presumably as the armored Russian called "Crimson Dynamo": http://www.superherohype.com/news/ironmannews.php?id=8159

Scarlet Johansson has signed on to appear in Iron Man 2 as the Russian villainess "Black Widow": http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.eonline.com/103998-

Also, a correction to what I posted earlier, and from this article: Mickey Rourke will NOT be playing the villain "Crimson Dynamo". Rourke will be playing a villain called "Whiplash"(whose real name in the IM comics is Mark Scarlotti).

Here's some info on Mark Scarlotti, aka "Whiplash": http://www.marvel.com/universe/Whiplash_%28Mark_Scarlotti%29

More on "Black Widow": http://www.comicvine.com/black-widow/29-3200/

I have to admit I was hoping the Dynamo or Titanium Man would be the primary villain in the second IM film but I can roll with Whiplash and Black Widow. Perhaps we'll see Jim Rhodes in that "War Machine" armor in the sequel as well. winky

Here's a release schedule for some of Marvel Entertainment's upcoming superhero films: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.eonline.com/104019-

Sam Raimi recently talked with 'IGN" and "MTV" and revealed that pre-production for Spiderman 4 has begun. The fourth Spidey film has been scheduled for a May 6, 2011 theatrical release.

Thus far the consensus, at least among fans, is that The Lizard will be the primary villain in the fourth "Spiderman" movie, presumably because Dr. Kurt Connors, the scientist who eventually transforms into the creature in both the Spidey comics and TV series, has appeared in all three "Spiderman" films thus far.

I'm inclined to think The Lizard will be the main adversary for Spidey in the fourth installment. Of course the question of who becomes the secondary villain arises. Speculation about the villains in this film have, not surprisingly, run rampant on the internet. Names like "Kraven The Hunter", "The Vulture", "Electro", "The Shocker", "The Scorpion", "Mysterio", and "The Rhino" have all been mentioned as possible Spidey villains in the fourth movie.

Here's my own preference: assuming "The Lizard" is indeed the primary opponent for Spidey in the fourth film, I'd prefer to see "The Vulture" or "The Scorpion" as well. winky

A "Venom" film is currently in the works. Here's the latest update: http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/694623/Confirmed-Venom-Spin-Off-Film-In-The-Works.html

Actor Terrence Howard spoke out recently about being left out of the "Iron Man" sequel film cast: http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/694538/Terrence-Howard-Lashes-Out-At-Marvel.html

Recall that Howard, in the film Iron Man, played Jim Rhodes, an Air Force officer and friend of billionaire industrialist Tony Stark(played by Robert Downey, Jr). Jim Rhodes, in the comics, eventually dons an alternate gray and blue colored armor made by Stark and becomes a superhero called "War Machine". The consensus among fans of the "Iron Man" character and live action film was that Rhodes would suit up in the "War Machine" armor in the sequel film. Terrence Howard was not cast for the role in the sequel, the film studio opting to sign actor Don Cheadle to play Rhodes.

Both Terrence Howard and Marvel Entertainment have offered their own versions of why Howard was not cast in the IM sequel film.

The latest update on the Spiderman 4 film, tentatively scheduled for theatrical release in May, 2011 confirms that Kirsten Dunst will reprise her role as "Mary Jane Watson". A studio official has also denied that Morbius The Ving Vampire will be in the fourth Spidey movie. One hint, regarding the villain, was dropped: the bad guy will have a tie in to New York City.

I just hope The Lizard is in this one.

Justin Timberwolf, er Timberlake did "screen test" for the role of Hal Jordan in the planned Green Lantern film: he didn't get the role. Somebody else did. Who? You might be surprised. Click the link to find out: http://www.superherohype.com/news/greenlanternnews.php?id=8499

Packmule= a little heyo and shokked at this casting choice.
