Which of the film genres is your favourite?

There doesn't seem to be a poll option so we'll have to do without <_<

Did you try clicking the "New Poll" button, Nate?

I'd have to say my favorite genre is (classic) horror/sci-fi.

Horror for me, then sci-fi, then martial arts.

Josh, are you into the Shaw Brothers martial arts films or the more modern films or both? I used to watch the Shaw Brothers films when I was young, but admit, many of them blurred for me, as far as knowing what titles I was watching. In the past year or so, I've gotten into them more, again and also have picked up a lot of the Dragon Dynasty releases of non-Shaw Brothers films.

I watch both from time to time, though admittedly, I haven't seen as many of the old 70's films as I'd like. The ones I saw as a kid are a blur as you said, and I really only remember bits and pieces of many of them. Recently however, I watched the classic Last Hurrah for Chivalry, it's a great samurai tale and I believe it was one of the first films directed by John Woo.

I love the fact that the classic Shaw Brothers films are seeing R1 releases, now. I'd highly recommend; The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, that is a great little film.

This morning, I watched the Dragon Dynasty release of, Invisible Target and thought that was a solid effort, too.

Thanks, Kimi, I'll check that one out.

I too enjoy seeing the Shaw films re-released and I'm glad Dragon Dynasty has been putting out all these martial arts films, new and old. The presentation and quality of these DVD's are top notch.

You're welcome, Josh...I hope you do enjoy it, but I think you will, it's quite good!

I agree, Dragon Dynasty has added some excellent bonus features to the releases, as well. :)

Old thread, but looks like I never posted in it. Mine would be sci-fi or fantasy.
