I am honestly annoyed with foreigners constantly assuming there is some sort of liberal attitude towards nudity in Sweden. In fact, I also rage over a lot of silly Americans believing we have polar bears. Or that we live in an exceptionally cold country. Inspired by all these "Ask him-or-her-or-it" topics recently, I now make this thread in which I'd love to answer anything you wonder about Sweden, that weird place that looks real inappropriate if viewed from a satellite. |

My first question is, unfortunately, not directly related to your topic, but I feel compelled to ask it anyway: exactly which "silly Americans" are you referring to? |

Tourists. People online. There's surprisingly often a source for the stereotypes. |

And I'm sure you realize that these "sources" of stereotypes are not just limited to Americans. ![]() Topic: what is an example of an indigenous animal that is native to Sweden? |

The moose, and the wolf. Unfortunately, the original Scandinavian wolves are extinct, but Russian wolves have replaced them. |

When I was in the U.S. Navy I often heard stories told by enlisted men about the various women in different countries they encountered, while on shore leave. One recurring thing I heard was that Swedish women are, generally, very attractive. Do you concur with this? |

I've heard this a lot from foreigners of any kind. I'm actually going to have to agree with this. Swedish women are in general very attractive. That does not say we have no unattractive women or that other countries have no women as attractive as Swedish women, but yes. |

![]() My first thought is global warming might have something to do with this. I've read that the average temps for summers here in the U.S. are creeping upwards. Topic: do you have access to American cable channels in your home country? |

Yes. Our old package allowed several American channels. I haven't really explored our new channel package yet. |

Is your home country largely suburbanized now or are there still large areas that have not been touched by real estate developers? |

A surprisingly low amount of land has actually been touched in Sweden. Most of the land is covered in forests, and everyone's just squeezed into a few concentrated spots. |
