I'm not surprised that this turned out to be a hoax. It's unfortunate that the jackasses behind this stunt just make it harder for those individuals who genuinely want to find "Bigfoot" to appear credible in the eyes of skeptics.

This Biscardi guy really seems a sleazy scam artist. I guess everyone wants their 15 minutes these days.

Here's an article posted at Yahoo.com with some more details about the alleged discovery of a Sasquatch carcass in Georgia: http://news.yahoo.com/s/cnet/20080814/tc_cnet/83011357731001710236

Thanks for the updates. It seems Tom Biscardi is still trumpeting away about the authenticity of this body. But I really can't trust this guy now that I know more about him.

Cool photo by the way. thumbz up

Cryptomundo is back. So I recommend going there for all the latest news on this subject. From what I can tell, Loren Coleman got hacked somehow. Seems like a strange coincidence considering the timing.

EDIT: Well, it was back. Now the site doesn't work again.

He does seem pretty pathetic. Especially given that this is the second time he's been "duped" into believing something like this. It wouldn't bother me if he wasn't trying to be the face of cryptozoology of late.

I laughed pretty hard upon digesting all those videos and articles. The part about the Opposum DNA was rather humorous indeed. So I guess Matthew Whitton skinned the rodent and rubbed it all over his bigfoot costume. What a clever guy.

Here's another link about Biscardi and the alleged "Bigfoot" carcass:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/08/15/bigfoot.body/index.html

From the article:
Quote:

About 100 reporters and onlookers attended the event... including a man who shouted questions while wearing a gorilla suit
very funny

Quote:

"I want to get to the bottom of it," Biscardi said. "I'll tell you what I've seen and what I've touched and what I've felt, what I've prodded was not a mask sewed onto a bear hide, OK?"
Speaking of hides...I'm inclined to think someone may have Biscardi's hide if this whole affair turns out to be a hoax. winky

I find the term "Zombie" to be offensive. I prefer to be called Vitality Impaired.

Here's Tom Biscardi's website: http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/Tom_Biscardi

Judging from the looks of it this site looks more like something put together by a man looking to turn a profit as opposed to discovering the truth.

Here's an update of my own: it was all a goddamn hoax.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26298733/

One of the two men involved, Matt Whitton, a Clayton County(GA) law enforcement officer on medical leave, is going to be fired because of his involvement in this deception. thumbz up
