So what kind of "charges" could the federal government really press on guys like Biscardi or Whitton and Dyer? I'm not really up on criminal fraud. I guess because they were charging money to see the photos? Is it considered fraud just to knowingly lie to the media about something? |

I wish I knew. It seems like they should be held accountable for this, and Biscardi has at least lost what little credibility he once had. |

Agreed. I admit to taking some satisfaction in seeing Matt Whitton, a Clayton County(Georgia, just south of metro Atlanta) police officer, lose his job over this deception. Whitton was quoted as saying, at the press conference where the pictures were displayed that "those of you talking down to us are going to eat your words". For a guy to say that when he knows there's nothing but a rubber suit in that freezer is especially ridiculous. I don't blame Whitton's boss for immediately filing papers to process termination of this jackass. Personally, I hope Whitton has a hard time finding a job and has to settle for working at a Dairy Queen. Biscardi, apparently the ring leader of this little three man circus, would do well to maintain a low profile from this point onward. At this point I cannot see how anyone would believe anything out of this guy's mouth, regarding anything. |

The trio of men involved in the Georgia "Bigfoot" hoax are now going to be the subject of a lawsuit: http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/clayton/stories/2008/08/20/bigfoot_hoax_lawsuit.html?imw=Y |

This was definitely and clearly a hoax from the beginning. Good to hear they're paying for it. PWN. |
