When it comes to making cinematic gold every time, there is one name: John Carpenter. 3 of his films have already been remade, and the films he has made are all classics. We should all know that he is the official Stephen King of the franchise: His filmography: Dark Star Assult on Precinct 13 (was remade) Halloween (remade) Somebody's Watching Me (TV movie) Elvis (tv movie) The Fog (remade Escape from New York The Thing (Video Game Sequel was made) Christine (based on Stephen King Novel!) Starman Big Trouble in Little China Prince of Darkness They Live Memoirs of an Invisable Man In The Mouth of Maddness Escape from LA Vampires Ghost of Mars Ciggaret Burns (Master of Horror) Pro-Life(Masters of Horror) Well, what films have you seen and what do you think? |

Big John Carpenter fan here. I only own The Thing, Escape From New York, and Assault on Precinct 13. I liked The Fog a lot. Big Trouble in Little China and They Live are really weird, but there's a reason they're still cult classics. I hated Escape From LA. In the Mouth of Madness is very underrated. To crowmagnumman ^If you are as big as a fan as me, I would heavily recommend it to anyone. Gojiramatthew liked it, one of his friends liked it, and a guy named Lone Wolf and Cub liked it - all through my recomendation. Ah, Dragon Wars.  Haven't seen that yet, but I've heard it had some pretty good special effects. I think I'll watch it sometime.EDIT: Woops. I mean Prince of Darkness. I didn't think D-War was a Carpenter movie. Prince of Darkness is one I've wanted to see but haven't yet. You can hide that account information now if you want or change it or something.

The Thing remake was an impressive film, it is IMO one of the best remakes to date .  Do you prefer the Original 1951 film or the remake of "The Thing"?.
