This happens to be my favorite western comedy. It is so funny. I liked how Mel Brooks did this film. It is not the type of western you would expect it to be. But, then again you wouldn't be surprised given that Mel Brooks did it.

A town gets a new sheriff and they are not too happy. But in the end, they do not want him to go. It is a good comedy and is funny.

Funny? Yes but I was startled by the use of the "n" word in the trailer. From what I've read about Mel Brooks and his films racial epithets were a part of the humor in many of his movies which I admit I could do without. winky

I've always admired Mel Brooks' films and I've found his films generally very funny, with the exception of the occasional racial epithet.

I like his films, although some of the material is not right with what it makes fun of.

Funny about this film because I actually went to see it in a theater with my father. I was 12 at the time...which is probably why I don't remember too much about the experience. freak out

One of the greatest comedies of all time. It's part of my DVD collection also. "Hey, where's the white women at?" very funny

I saw Blazing Saddles at a friend's house a few years ago. It was interesting to say the least!

The irony is that this movie couldn't be made today simply because of some of the material in it even Mel Brooks himself said it an interview he did in the 90s.
