Those are some good ideas pack. There's a sonic shriek element in my story as well. The creature in my story sounds similar to Bagorah. Hopefully not too similar.

I wanted the sequel to my story to be a remake of the original Rodan movie. Not sure if Godzilla would be involved or not, but he might be.

For your inspection: http://godzilla.wikia.com/wiki/Bagorah

Bagorah is an absolutely gigantic monster. Bagorah attempted to eat Godzilla, believing the King of monsters would make a nice meal. Godzilla, not susprisingly, did not agree. winky

Their battle spanned at least two issues of the comics. I used to have these issues but gave them away to a friend who collects comics of all kinds. Bagorah stunned Godzilla with his sonic shriek but in the end, and after a physical battle Godzilla was able to defeat and kill the enormous bat like monster with his primary weapon, his powerful oral beam.

I see no reason why our recent posts shouldn't be here, as many of these posts touch on possible themes for the next Godzilla film.

No worries. I'm gonna try to avoid giving away any more secrets from my stories, since for now they sort of qualify as fan fiction.

Ok...

I was thinking of this for a sequel to GMK:

Godzilla, King Caesar, and Mechagodzilla: All Monsters Attack
Gojira, Kingu Shiza, Mechagojira: DaiKaiju Soshingeki

Opening scene: we see a guy shutting off his computer and turning off the lights to his office. Focus is on the two windows behind him. All of a sudden, a loud boom and while light fill the windows. We now have a shot of Yokohama Bay. We see an ocean liner being blown up into two parts, with the two parts being sucked towars the blue beam and more parts flying into the air. The parts flying in the air start falling onto the buildings around the bay like blazing meteroites. Spectators gather around the bay and watch as Goji's fins are revealed. Then we have a close up of one guy who yells "GOJIRA!" and as he is yelling it, we close in on his mouth, which is black and then with added guitar accompaning the sound, the GMK title music is played, with an explosion going on behind the Japanese characters.

Rest of the film plays out that since Godzilla is still a revival of rengefull souls lost in the Pacific Conflict in WWII, the goverment calls the head Onmyojo master of Japan. The onmyodo maser spends weeks around the bay, setting up base and casting spells onto the bed, some of which that heven't been used since Onmyodo legend Seimei's time.

Meanwhile Yuri Tachibana, who has won numerous awards from both film/tv associations and the goverment for covering Godzilla's attack, is now covering the onmyodo masters attempts. And Takeda is now part of BS Digital Q, mainly being a narrator for the programs that are not cheese fests.

Commander Tachibana is now head of the JSDF with only the Prime Minister and the Cabinet to awnser to. And so he asks the goverment to build a Mechagodzilla. In the days that fallow, the media shouts out TAXES, WHAT ABOUT REBUILDING OF YOKOHAMA FROM THE LAST ATTACK, and WHAT ABOUT THE FOREIGN COUNTRIES. Like in G84, the world leaders are brought into one place. The plans for Kiryu are told, and the world is shown the GMK footage.

Three years later...

Kiryu (I want KIRYU!) is now built and is being tested. They have the best team money can afford and train. Commander Tachibana is head of the team, with a bunch of other top guns being his back up. Testing of Kiryu takes blace on the Bikini Atol, which is uninhabbited. Kiryu doesn't lasers. Instead, a series of explosives. In his chest holds 3 megaton bombs, in his backpack 55 D3-war heads with increased presure and metal tips now made of the same metal space ships are made of, along with a varriety of other weapons. All weapons test successfully, but an extremeist group tries to bomb Kiryu. Kiryu gets away but the bombers don't (the JSDF has security missiles to fire just incase of this advent). But the bomb the terrorists used ressurects a monster: Anguirus!

Back at Yokohama, the past three years has caused Yokohama to become a desolate place with only Onmyodo masters and tv reporters going near. The onmyodo are confident that Godzilla's lack of apperance in the last three years is due to the spells they have been placing on the bay. But the first Onmyodo from three years ago to take up residence at the bay has dobts and that Godzilla would return within a month. He claims that the only way to stop Godzilla when he comes ashore is to awaken the guardian monster of Okinawa: King Ceasar. (then we have a flash back sequence about 20 minutes long showing a live action adaptation of the actual Shiza legend).

the rest shall be posted later...

But I think it is good, since Godzilla is fighting a variety of monsters: organic, mythical, and man made.

i herd he makes his comeback in 2013!
Toho executive Shogo Tomiyama has made some general comments that suggest fans of this monster will see Godzilla on the big screen again, around 2013. That could mean a little sooner...or a little later. winky

Keith Aiken of Sci-Fi Japan, who has industry contacts, including Toho, has said repeatedly at the ATARI Godzilla forums that Toho has absolutely no plans at this time to make a Godzilla movie.

I have no problem waiting longer if that means we'll get a better Godzilla film. shifty eyes2
if you saw gamera the brave, the effects where near perfect, immagine the next goji film. i can only think of what they'll do.

I haven't seen Gamera the Brave, but I feel the same way. I doubt anything could beat those two films in the sfx department.

I think you would feel, Crow, and after seeing Gamera The Brave, the effects in this film are reasonably good...but not better than the third 90's Gamera film or GMK.

My biggest gripe with Gamera The Brave was that the classic roar of Gamera was not used, and the roar of "Toto" Gamera was instead an old T-Rex roar that has been commonly used in cinema, most notably the T-Rex in The Land Unknown(1957) and very similar to King Kong's roar in the DeLaurentis film King Kong(1976).

^That just shoks me. Kadowoka, the biggest film making company in Japan owned by film tycoon Haryuki Kadowoka, known for such films as Heaven and Hearth and Satomi Hakken Den would ruin a Gamera film like that...

I wouldn't say it "ruined" the film. It's a children's movie, G2K, with children prominently featured in the storyline. I thought I read somewhere on the internet last year that the box office take for Gamera The Brave wasn't that great.

And that was a disapointment, since Gamera went from worse than Godzilla vs. Megalon and Godzilla's Revenge to Better than Gojira and King Kong and now back to lukewarm good for kiddies.

I just really want to see some more classic Kaiju. Rodan, King Ceasar, Baragon, King Ghidrah, King Kong, Hedorah, Anguirius. I love mothra and MechaGodzilla, but I'm just tired of seeing them for now. There's so many other monsters out there, please use them.
