I was reading a review at Rottentomatoes when I saw a trailer for a movie called Quarantine. It's apparently a zombie/infected movie in the same vein as Blair Witch and Cloverfield. Well after a bit of research I found it was a remake of a Spanish movie just released named [REC] (short for record) and found you can actually watch it in its entirety online since it has yet to come out on Region 1 DVD. Having done so I can say it's quite a creepy movie and decided to post the link to the best quality one I could find: http://www.megavideo.com/?v=Y1VGBXW4 I definitely thought it was a good movie. Had a few goofy moments that didn't detract from the overall movie, but it definitely held my attention and kept me in the environment. The ending was VERY creepy. Not my favorite zombie/infected movie, but it was still very good. Wonder how the Americanized remake will do. If you have any time and like the premise go ahead and take a gander. |

http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/quarantine/red-band-trailer This is the trailer for the new American remake. Overall it looks good and you can see a few scenes that are different from the original. I hope this one does some respect to REC. The only thing I see that is off putting is the lighting. It looks too "blended" I guess. You can tell there's studio lights because there are black, whites and shades of grey in the shadows that make it look a lot more fake than the original. The original had the pitch blackness or light like in real life lighting effects. It's only minor, but just by the trailer it's noticeable. |

Great trailer. I recognized a least one actor in it: Jay Hernandez, who was in both "Hostel" films. |
