A Fayette County(Pennsylvania) man named Harry Metz has captured what he describes as a UFO on his camcorder. There's no embeddable video to see this man's video but the footage is shown on the man's laptop in the news article covering this story. To see the article(and video footage of the alleged UFO) click the link: http://www.wpxi.com/video/29585733/index.html

Big wave surfers now routinely surf waves ranging anywhere from 30-60 feet high. Some years ago a world record was set, off the coast of South Africa, by a surfer who rode a wave estimated to be 70 feet in height.

Another big wave surfer, Garrett McNamara, topped that recently by surfing a wave off the coast of Portugal estimated to be 90 feet tall. To see McNamara surfing this leviathan wave click the below video:

Did UFOs appear in the sky in Scottsdale, Arizona over a high school football game back on October 28th of this year? Decide for yourself by clicking the link to read the story and watch the brief, twenty second video footage: http://www.yardbarker.com/all_sports/articles/msn/video_ufos_spotted_flying_above_arizona_high_school_football_game/7818973?ocid=xnetr2-3

There's definitely something in the video...looks like four orange tinted, glowing spots and one of them is moving laterally. loco2

The origins of the Shroud Of Turin have remained a mystery to scientists and generated ongoing debate among not only scientists but theologians and clergyman all over the world. The shroud, long thought to be the burial cloth for Jesus Christ, is currently kept in climate controlled storage at the Turin Cathedral in Italy. The shroud is the subject of renewed discussion since Italian scientists recently announced that the patterns on the cloth, one of which seems to look like that of a bearded man, could have been made by intense ultraviolet light, even lasers. The technology to generate this kind of light is easily available now but wasn't back in medieval times which begs the question: how could ultraviolet light energy so long ago been generated to create the images on the Turin shroud? The oceans and wave phenomena has always been a point of interest to me since I was a teenager. I just finished watching a documentary on The History Channel a little while ago called Underwater Universe, a TV series. Here's the episode I watched called "Shockwaves", which delves into the types of destructive ocean waves including "rogue" sea waves, tsunamis(tidal waves), monster breakers(unusually large wind driven waves ridden by big wave surfers) and "impact" tsunamis(those created by underwater landslides, volcanoes and asteroid/comet ocean impacts):

The last wave type examined in this episode is a truly scary phenomenom. Some sixty million years ago an asteroid ten(10) miles wide slammed into an area of water now called the Gulf Of Mexico near the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. This enormous rock, impacting the water at over 40,000 MPH, generated an explosion whose energy output was equal to one million Hiroshima A-bombs. The blast from this asteroid impact, besides vaporizing billions of tons of seawater and sending a huge cloud of ejecta(dust and debris) into the atmosphere, also generated a series of outwardly radiating mega-tsunamis(unusually large tidal waves) several hundred feet in height. These waves, reaching the shorelines of all the major continents, would have slowed down and made landfall with run up heights in excess of 1000 feet, washing inland for as much as a hundred miles in certain locations with lower coastal tographies. It is this impact event that is thought to have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs due to climatic changes on the planet from the ejecta thrown into the atmosphere.

A Russian scientist has released a report in which he claims photographs taken of the surface of the planet Venus show life on the planet. Considering the atmosphere of Venus is largely comprised of carbon dioxide and that the average day time temperature on Venus' surface is 894 degrees fahrenheit this claim is raising eyebrows in the scientific community. Well there could be life/life-forms living on Venus...we as humans think that just because a place doesn't have the conditions like our planet then life can't exist there. They could be a being of fire born individuals like in Sci-Fi movies...

A team of salvage divers have discovered, through underwater imaging sensors, two disc shaped objects on the bottom of the Baltic Sea off the coast of Sweden. One of the objects is 60 meters(almost 200 feet) across and the other one is smaller. Making their discovery more interesting: there appear to be long "drag" impressions next to both round shaped objects. To read more and see a video about this discovery, click the link: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/video-divers-large-unexplained-object-bottom-baltic-sea-161749619.html

Hopefully continuing efforts by this salvage team can determine what these objects are.

During the past few weeks, and watching several episodes of Bigfoot Hunters on Animal Planet, my interest in the "Bigfoot" mystery has piqued. I've also watched a MonsterQuest episode in which a team of investigators and scientists travel to southern Arkansas to search various areas around Fouke, Arkansas for an alleged creature purported to be part man and part primate, a foul smelling, hairy, bipedal creature roaming the flat wetlands in around the Sulfur River bottoms of southern Arkansas. This alleged creature was the subject of a 1972 film, produced and directed by used car salesman Charles Pierce called The Legend Of Boggy Creek.

One of the most interesting things that was produced by locals on "Bigfoot Hunters" are purported audio recordings of these creatures. Check out the below YT clip of some alleged sasquatch sounds:

I also came across this YT video which features "trail cam" footage from a hunter's tree mounted camera. The video footage is admittedly inconclusive but there is just enough on the video to make me at least think "WTF?"

Highly doubt it's a woolly mammoth...probably just a bear carrying something across the river. And why is this footage so out of focus? They couldn't they zoom in or out some to get a better image?

Could a "robopocalypse", essentially a war between highly advanced, sentient robots and humans one day doom humanity to extinction? This concept has been explored in both the "Terminator" and "Matrix" film franchises. These movies are considered science fiction but many people believe it may become reality with continuing advances in robotics and artificial intelligence that may one day result in the creation of a race of self aware, sentient machines...and whose intentions towards humanity may not be friendly. Click the link to listen to remastered audio of the sounds generated by the super quake that struck off the coast of northern Japan back in March of last year: http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/06/10593462-hear-the-soundtrack-of-a-super-quake

The initial boom in this audio clip is from the initial shock of the 9.0 Japan quake of March, 2011 which is one of the most powerful earthquakes to occur in recorded history, ranking right up there with the 2004 Indian Ocean undersea earthquake.

That's some scary sounding noise. freak out

State wildlife authorities in south Florida and the Florida keys who believed they had successfully suppressed the proliferation of a giant, invasive species of African rat will likely have to rethink their position as these enormous rodents, the Gambian pouch rats, capable of growing three feet long and weighing as much as nine pounds, have made a surprising comeback in the region. These Gambian rats, indigenous to Africa, frequently grow as large as cats. Many of the local citizenry in the Florida keys are understandably troubled at this development: The mouse that roared: giant Gambian rats make a comeback in south Florida

Don't rats carry diseases?
You bet they do: http://www.aaanimalcontrol.com/ratdiseases.htm

In a recent BBC documentary scientists revealed that a fully preserved wooly mammoth carcass had been found in Siberia. The remains of the juvenile mammoth, thought to be around 10,000 years old, were perfectly preserved in the ice of Siberia and the carcass is now being studied. Wooly mammoths, a hairy and larger variation of modern day elephants, roamed what is now Siberia, in extreme northern Russia 10,000-15,000 years ago during and after the Earth's last "ice age". An enormous, fifteen pound and fifteen inch wide crab named "Claude" will not end up on someone's dinner plate. The huge crab, caught off the coast of Tasmania, was sold by the fisherman who caught it to a British aquarium which plans to put the marine arthropod on display for its visitors. "Claude" is, even by the normal size range of Tasmanian giant crabs, unusually large and is actually still growing since it's an adolescent. When fully grown this crab will stretch eighteen inches across and weigh thirty pounds. The smaller claw on this species of crab is actually powerful enough to sever a person's finger. Tasmanian giant crabs can live twenty years and are the second largest species of crab on Earth: Shell game: giant crab will go on display in UK aquarium

Click the link to see the story and brief footage of what appears to be a dark, partially upright and bulky figure that is briefly visible on film before retreating back into the woods: http://news.yahoo.com/video#video=29519203

The video is, besides being brief, somewhat interesting because the figure definitely appears to be partially upright as it moves back into the woods. confuzed

The world's largest domestic cat may very well soon be a cat named "Rupert", a two year old feline and three time "Cat Of The Year" in Australia where the animal resides with owner Kyra Foster. "Rupert", who currently weighs twenty pounds and is expected to add another eleven pounds as it matures into an adult, is larger than most cats belonging to his breed, called "Maine Coon" cats. Reaching(and exceeding) thirty pounds in weight and with a length of forty inches, "Rupert" would be as large as a typical adult bobcat: http://now.msn.com/now/0611-rupert-biggest-cat.aspx
