For those who enjoy giant monster movies be sure to check out THE MEG, opening in theaters on August 10th, 2018. This film, based on the 1997 book "Meg", written by Steve Alten, features an enormous, 75 foot long Megalodon shark! Other giant monster movies that we fans can look forward to: GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS(in 2019) and GODZILLA VS KONG in 2020! PACIFIC RIM-UPRISING(2018), the sequel to 2013's "Pacific Rim", is about to release to Ultra 4k and Blu Ray. In these movies, 250 foot tall robots defend Earth from an assault of other worldly giant monsters(kaiju).

Tom E. Littlefeller has to be the most...unusual name I've ever heard for a cat, which is saying a lot: I once did yardwork, as a young teenager, for an elderly lady(and a friend of mom's) who had named her own cat "Mr. God Damnit" and I also did quite a bit of private landscaping work for a couple, in 1996-97, who had named their cat "Shithead". very funny How did this cat acquire such a name?

My Grandma was in a skilled nursing unit the last two or three years of her life and Granddad visited her, faithfully, every day
thumbs up Sounds like he loved her, very much.

Grandma and Granddad named him, 'Tommy' and whenever Dad visited, he'd call him, 'Tom E Littlefeller'. Grandma always said Dad had a knack for nicknames...He has called me at various times in my life, 'Gazornatune', which he has shortened to, 'Tune' and he calls me that, most of the time, but he's also called me 'Pumpkin Jane' at various times, too and shortened that to just, 'Pumpkin' or 'Punk'. Michael has been called, 'Miguel Poopsinelli' and Skeet, 'Tiny Man'. I think I must have inherited that knack from Dad, as everyone has a nickname from me, too.

Nicknames were never popular in the Merritt family. My father would occasionally call me Lee Lee, which I hated, but I would never tell him because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I was given a nickname by my high school woodshop teacher, whose legendary mispronunciation of names included mine. Mr Chesna pronounced my name, during roll call, as "Mertz" (nor "Merritt"), and from then on lots of classmates referred to me as "Mertz".

In college I was nicknamed "mule", though I accepted it more willingly because I knew my college classmates meant it in a complimentary manner. thumbs up

I kind of like nicknames, as most are usually used as a form of endearment or a compliment......Mom's family doesn't like them, but the majority of her family was nicknamed and they stuck all through their lives!

No clue what to make for dinner, tonight, I really don't feel like cooking and we dont' have much to choose from, anyway. Last night, we ran to Wal*Mart to pick up more packing boxes and grabbed a pizza to bring home. groink!

The only major-chain pizza place we have within 30 minutes of here is Pizza Hut, but we got our pizza from, Pompeii's. I love their pizza, the sauce isn't over-powering and the crust is great. I really only like pepperoni, if it turns crispy, but Carol loves it, so we got extra cheese, onions and pepperoni. I think the only other chain pizza joint I've ever had pizza from was, Domino's. In the town we're moving to, they have a place called Original Pizza, and they make great pizza, subs and Italian dishes, there. It's within walking distance of the house, too. Jimi

There's a phrase to describe this: "The best of both worlds." tongue-1

My favorite pizza joint here in Atlanta is Mellow Mushroom Pizza. My favorite restaurant specializing in pizza is called "Everybodys". I have ordered from both Dominos and Papa Johns, the latter more often because their store is a lot closer to my residence.

Skeet lives almost an hour away from here and while not a large city, it's bigger than the community we live in. He actually can get pizza delivered from a couple of places where he lives and he's in Heaven. lol3 I think he could eat pizza for every meal, every day of the week and never get tired of it. freak out

:) Yesterday, when Dad took us to the 'Ram Zone' for lunch, Skeet ordered an entire pizza for himself. He did share in the end with Carol, Dad and me, but we all had just one piece each and Skeet ate the other 7 or 9 slices! cheeky sick smiley Hahahaha Skeet's buddy, Bruce, he ordered a bacon cheeseburger and chicken tenders and then the guys moved more....not sure how they could move after a meal like that, plus we all had mozzarella sticks and potato skins.

Your brother sounds pretty protective of his food. This reminds me of a dog who growls at anyone who tries to pull his food bowl(with food) away. Skeet ever growled at any of you when the topic of sharing has come up in a restaurant? tongue-1

Ha ha. Reminds me of that Rob Schneider film where the waiter tries to take away his plate and he growls at him.

Im pretty sold on milk. You can do alot with it (chocolate, strawberry) and it complements so many food items. I can't imagine life without it.

While I share your fondness for milk, Josh, my doc recommends I drink only skim milk or other reduced calorie milk-it is supposed to help prevent "gout", which I have suffered from, on and off, for ten years.

heyo Or Lime, Light and Zero? (Light and Zero being Diet Coke with different names)

I have nothing against drinking the Diet types or Lime. The others just aren't Coke enough for me. Lime doesn't really bother me somehow, and is entirely enjoyable. Vanilla... ugh. thumbs down

You might be interested to know, Kex(or not tongue-1 ) that the Coca Cola Company was founded, and it's corporate headquarters has always been located, here in Atlanta, Georgia, my hometown. One of the clients my employer, a landscape business, services, is one of the descendants of the co-founders of the Coca Cola Company. We put in maintenance landscaping work at her house(a huge mansion size house and surrounding property) every week. :)
The formula for making original Coke continues to be one of the most closely guarded trade secrets in the world. shifty eyes

Skeet is funny when it comes to eating, he will share and quite often almost insists you 'try' what he's currently eating, but I sit and sometimes watch what he can put away in amazement! We just returned from a week in Canada.....Dad, Carol, Skeet, Jeannie, Olivia and I were there from 01 September and arrived home on 08 September. One night, we did burgers, dogs and something else, but Skeet ate four burgers! shocked smiley cheeky sick smiley

I'm with you completely here. I've tried all kinds of diet beverages and the only thing I can tolerate is Diet Coke, and it took me years to get used to it's taste. The others, I just don't like their taste.
