This film, based on the 1997 book "Meg", written by Steve Alten, features an enormous, 75 foot long Megalodon shark! Other giant monster movies that we fans can look forward to: GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS(in 2019) and GODZILLA VS KONG in 2020! PACIFIC RIM-UPRISING(2018), the sequel to 2013's "Pacific Rim", is about to release to Ultra 4k and Blu Ray. Well, I HAVE been living in England for nearly 7 years now, and for what I've seen the most popular types of food include: 1) Sandwiches (with the horrible square bread) 2) Crisps (Chips in the USA) 3) Fish and Chips (Cod and Fries in the USA) 4) Pot Noodles (Instant Noodles, just add water, no need to take them out from their original package) 5) Indian Food (Yeah, they seem to have some kind of fetish for Indians here) 6) Baked Beans (Just Beans in a can) There isn't much more things to add really. |

I eat the noodles you mentioned quite often. I get them by the pack, and are easily microwaveable, and include a smattering of vegetables and tiny chicken chunks. They are also very cheap, probably what I like best about them . I have eaten cod. It's very good fish. I buy fish about once a month from the grocery store. Cod, like other fish, is especially good with a dash of lemon and seasoning.

When I was nine years old, Mom and Dad purchased a small general store. We had a soda cooler that was funny, you actually fileld the thing with ice, it was electric, but by the end of the day, the ice was pretty much melted, but the soda was cold as ice.....it was from the 40s or 50s! Anyway, we had this old guy that came in every day and he would sit on this bench that ran the length of the store area and sip his Tab. The guy seemed to enjoy it so much and my Dad was always drinking it, so I thought I;d give it a try..... egads but I hated it! Now, mind you, that was in the mid-late 70s and I see the Tab cans have changed in looks, so perhaps the taste has improved? Not sure I'm even brave enough to give it another try!

Now orange you glad you posted in this poll? ...sorry Corey, I couldn't resist the attempt, however feeble, at humor. I also enjoy orange sodas. The ones I drink the most: Sunkist and Orange Crush. Fanta is also good. You might be interested to know Corey that back in early 1997 me and about six(6) other landscapers constructed a "sunken" garden for the man who invented Fanta Grape soda. I never met him-I heard, from the landscape designer, that he had(and was continuing to make) a lot of money off his invention. His estate and mansion were very large. eyebrow |

I love orange soda, too. FInding a good sugar-free soda isn't always easy, but I love Sunkist orange and A&W diet root beer, too, those are quite tasty as is the new Sprite Zero. Diet Pepsi will always be my fave and hearing that the marketing might be the only change to Tab is enough to keep me away. ;) |

Indeed it's not. Most of the diet sodas I have sampled I do not like because to me they just don't taste as good. The exceptions: Diet Coke and Tab. One soda I do not drink as much as I used to is Mountain Dew. It's my favorite tasting soda after Coke and Pepsi but it is loaded with caffeine-in fact I believe Mountain Dew, which is made by Pepsico(which also makes Pepsi) has the largest amount of caffeine of any soda on the market. I now drink a generic brand from Kroger(a grocery chain here in Atlanta, GA) called Citrus Drop, which looks and tastes just like "Mountain Dew", but has less caffeine, and is also cheaper, @ 59 cents a two-liter bottle, as opposed to 99 cents/two-liter bottle of Mountain Dew. I usually always buy the generic brands of colas when I am at the grocery store, mainly to save a little $. jumping smiley |

My brother used to drink Mountain Dew like there was no tomorrow, but the stuff really began ripping up his stomach. I think he still will drink it, but in less quantities than he used to. It took me years to accept diet Pepsi over Pepsi, but now, I can't imagine not drinking diet Pepsi. I can drink a 12-pack in a day, easily! I have always enjoyed the taste of A&W diet root beer and I'm willing to try most any kind of diet soda, but I've never been a fan of any cream-style sodas, so those are definitely out. I can't really drink diet Coke, unless it's a fountain drink like you find in Burger King or McDonald's, then fountain diet Coke doesn't bother me at all. |

Diet Coke/Coke, just seems to have a 'heavier' taste to it. I was at my nephew's baseball All-Star game a month or so ago and they didn't carry any diet soda other than diet Coke in the can and I hesitated, but did buy one and actually drank it. Still, I prefer diet Pepsi. In fountain soda, it seems they all kind of taste alike. :) |

I will have to try that. I haven't drank anything rapidly in a while. Of course while in college and then the U.S. Navy I often hung out with fellow beer meisters and chugged sometimes. Thank God those days are over. I'm sure my liver is grateful also. Regarding being off-topic. let me say this Ghost: there are many discussion sites on the internet that treat you as if you have committed a crime against humanity for posting off topic. There may come a day here when things, based on membership totals and posting activity, tighten up a little. No doubt. But no one here will ever be made to feel as though they have done something wrong by being "off topic". We ain't robots Ghost. Right you are. That's the name of it-good stuff. I often buy flavored waters(Dasani). I'll tell you this: working outside during the summer I drink nothing but ice-cold water(from our big cooler) or Gatorade/Powerade. Usually when drinking Gatorade I dilute with some water-it seems to taste a little better for me. eyebrow I have read that soda consumption in the U.S. is in decline, one reason why we consumers are seeing such a variety of non-soda beverages on the market thumbs up |

Indeed. And this from the "Do not try this at home" department: I have attempted, over the years, to "augment" the kick of apple cider, in order to recapture, albeit briefly, some of my various states of inebriation enjoyed in my younger days. So far my attempts include: adding whiskey, adding grain alcohol, and adding various dry liquors, including gin and vodka, all in an effort to alter the taste, and effect of apple cider. Most of my in home chemistry experiments with cider resulted in concoctions that smelled like furniture polish or turpentine, and were dumped in the sink. The exception: grain alcohol and cider, which smells remarkably similar to moonshine. Fearing for the safety of my stomach lining and throat I sampled a small quantity of the alcohol-cider mix. It also tasted like moonshine, and I dumped it in the toilet. dead |
