"Thilian"

The kid (who had that same year told me I needed to 'fix my face' and asked me if I was 'retarded') was denying everything. He got shipped away, though. He was lucky if you ask me
I agree he was lucky. Someone who acts like this is often the recipent of an ass beating, by a person(or persons) that take exception to this behavior.
"Thilian"

In the locker rooms that same period, he'd attempted to set another kid's hair on fire for stealing his cigarettes
thumbs down

He'll certainly go down as the country's most incompetent. He deserves to be remembered as one of the all-time most useless presidents, though
Agreed.

Topic: do you think, Thilian, that "Dubya" will judged, historically, as one of this country's worst Presidents?  heyo

He will go down as the worst president. He's not doing a good job, he can't make good speeches and he is useless. I hate Bush.

IMO George W. Bush's political career has been, primarily, of his old man's construction. I believe "Dubya" got elected to Governor of Texas with the aid of the political connections of his father, George Bush Sr, himself a former U.S. President. I also believe Dubya rode his dad's coattails right into the Oval Office. This man hasn't earned a damn thing on his own. thumbs down

For anyone who may be interested I saw an article in the Atlanta newspaper today that said America's national debt is currently at a mind boggling $13.9 trillion dollars. Basically, that's $30,000 of debt for every working adult in the United States Of America. Who is ultimately responsible for this number? The President Of The United States. Thanks, Mr. President, for saddling me with $30,000 in debt. very angry

Well, I agree with you about him being a puppet...he's a puppet to his own ego and inflated sense of self worth.
Watching some of the Democratic candidates debate recently, a broadcast I watched only for about five minutes, I was disgusted by the all the "political speak" and other double talk from Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, especially the latter, who strikes me as the kind of guy who'd back stab his own mother if it served his purpose.
When I vote, Kex, I'm going to write in Alfred E Neuman on the ballot...or maybe Bozo The Clown.

Anyone curious as to my feelings regarding George W. Bush, here's my answer:

See the resemblance, Kex, between Dubya and Mr. Neuman?

It's getting freaking annoying. All the liberal media trying to make Bush look bad for gain. I think the war on Iraq is exaggerated.

I do not think George W. Bush has done a good job as President Of The United States. Smythe, I'm not, first of all, going to to get into any wild debates with you over the performance of our current president. I know you approve of the guy and that's fine-obviously some people approve of Bush and some don't. I have no problem discussing why I don't like Bush, but I've never been one who likes to debate with others at message boards about any political topics.

Some things to ponder:

-9/11 happened on President Bush's "watch". Should you, as an American citizen, be concerned about that? I am, you can be sure of that.

-in 2003 our President invaded Iraq declaring that he was doing so because of the presence of weapons of mass destruction. The problem: there weren't any. Other than some empty howitzer shells that could have, presumably, been modified to carry chemical weapons, there were no WMDs.

-there have been numerous disasters within Bush's administration, regarding the American people, the most egregious being FEMA(Fedral Emergency Management Administration) and this agency's slow, and absolutely disastrous ineptitude at effectively helping citizens affected by Hurricane Katrina (the fallout from this lingers still) -IMO this is ultimately the responsibility of the president of the US

-the United States carries a national debt that threatens to de-stabilize our economy, yet little has been done about under Bush's administration

I can list other gripes about our president. I probably will, later. ;)

I would vote for John McCain in the general election, this fall, over any Dem candidate.

You're right, but there are a tremendous number of American people who now disapprove of the Iraq war , and since President Bush is the Commander In Chief of our armed forces, and is the reason our forces are over there, naturally many people, perhaps especially many who have lost family members or friends(servicemen and servicewomen), will blame Bush, indirectly or directly, and right or wrong, for these deaths.
