Yeah. I'm thinking these two are really evenly matched. I couldn't say for sure how it would go. It would probably be up to chance.

Agreed. There are alot of possibilities here. Nice match-up. Both of these creatures are awesome in my mind and I'd hate to see either lose.

Uh...yeah. It'll win. No sweat.
Who needs Toho Kingdom anyway? I'm a member at Monsterland Forums! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

I find the term "Zombie" to be offensive. I prefer to be called Vitality Impaired.

Here's my not so in depth analysis: Xenomorph and the Thing fight at close quarter. The Xenomorph is wounded. Acid oozes and sprays about from its wounds and all over the Thing. The Thing is mortally wounded by the burning acid. Xenomorph kills the Thing with a blast to the forehead from its secondary jaws.

I don't know. Somehow I don't think it would be that easy. Maybe it would stop the Thing temporarily, but whatever cells weren't damaged would come back for more later. You gotta burn every single cell to a crisp.

And what if the thing is impervious to acid?

This would make one hell of a film, great sequel to the thing and Alien, with no human actors, but an abundance of aliens and things.

As I mentioned earlier, if that is true then it would be the one thing that might tip this fight in the Thing's favor. winky

Ok, I shall take into consideration later on tonight and I shall tally up the stuff and decide a winner. Unless anyone else has anything else to say about this titanic show off for the ages which is more neck to neck than Alien vs. Preadator, King Kong vs. Godzilla, or Heavy Metal vs. Rap

"The stuff"? You're referring to this thread's posts, right?

Again, I believe the Xenomorph wins unless the Thing could absorb the Xenomorph first, something that, while certainly possible, seems unlikely to me because of the Xeno's hostility and relentless aggressiveness. winky

I just had a thought. Before I post the results, I want to bring this to attention. If one thing can split into two things, then can one thing briefly duke it out with Xenomorph while the other turns into a Xenomorph? I do not believe that Thing1 vs. Xenomorph will be that quick, maybe even longer than needed to make it into 2 things vs. a Xenomorph
