I was somewhat surprised at how easily Lashley defeated Bob Sapp: of course Bobby Lashley did exactly what he should have done against Sapp: ground and pound. winky

Tough to call that one, especially since both these guys have wrestling backgrounds and very similar "smothering" styles of fighting. I'm inclined to say Lesnar at this point. He's a little more proven having faced fighters such as Couture, Heath Herring, and Frank Mir, while Bobby has faced mostly no-names. I like Bobby alot though, and would probably root for him if they fought. He's confident but humble, tries his hardest, and has a lot of heart, you can see it when he's in there.

I would say this to Tito Ortiz, regarding Mr. Emilianenko:

"Be careful what you wish for...because you may get it." winky

very funny

I've always thought Tito to be a great fighter, but this brazen cockiness, especially after he's been out of MMA for so long, is probably not very well looked upon by many. Then again, he's always had a cocky attitude.

Josh, any prediction on the Dan Henderson Vs Michael Bisping fight at UFC 100?

Also, the George St. Pierre vs Thiago Alves fight?

I'll take "Dangerous" Dan in his fight with Michael Bisping. He's far more experienced, has a better stand up game and Bisping has very little chance of submitting him. I'm thinking these guys may grind it out to a decision but I'm hoping to see Henderson win it.

St. Pierre and Alves is a tough call...St. Pierre is favored here and probably should win but I think Alves will be his toughest test. St. Pierre is good at controlling the pace of fights. Alves may come out crazy but if St. Pierre can control his initial strikes he should be able to control the fight.

I went 3 for 3 on my predictions....

Gotta say the best part of the night was Hendo's overhand right knockout punch of Bisping. I've seen Hendo throw that famous punch many times back in the Pride days and it was awesome to see it connect here.

Dana White has said he'll make a "Brock Lesnar Vs Fedor Emilianenko" fight happen...after Emilianenko's contract with "Affliction"(UFC' competitor) runs out.

The obvious question: who wins this fight?

Alot of hoops are going to have to be jumped through before that can happen...I'm still thinking it won't at this point.

Fedor has to get through Josh Barnett on August 1st...then if that win happens I could see them trying to negotiate some kind of deal. It's going to be extremely difficult though, the UFC is incredibly restrictive with the terms of it's fighter's contracts, and Fedor's M-1 Russia management team is difficult to work with as well, I've heard they make alot of additional demands on contracts. Not to mention the salaries of these two fighters for this bout will be astronomical.

They are going to have to agree to some sort of one-fight deal, most likely. The UFC may have to give in on a few things, that's my guess. Even then, the chances are dim.

Kimbo Slice is back after his quick loss to Seth Petruzelli, and will be one of the fighters on this fall's TV series "TUF"(The Ultimate Fighter"), Slice obviously hoping to land a UFC contract. Here's the video of Slice weighing in on why he's going to be in this TV series:

I'm rooting for Kimbo Slice. He doesn't mince words, is a straight talking fellow and has worked his ass off on the streets. winky
