Big Bird, a huge, long-legged bird and long time character on the television series Sesame Street, squares off against fellow TV character Barney, the kid friendly purple dinosaur and also host of his own television series. The fight locale: an empty parking lot at Universal Studios in California. No access to weapons of any kind. It's a straight up bash fest. Prediction for the battle and final outcome: After a brief collar and elbow tie up and subsequent skirmish Big Bird lowers his head and bum rushes Barney, knocking the purple dino on his behind. Big Bird employs a series of Hulk Hogan-esque leg drops across a fallen Barney, then finishes off the purple dino with a pair of atomic elbow drops across the top of Barney's forehead. The result of Barney's loss to his giant yellow avian nemesis: Barney's immediate ouster from his own TV series and compulsory retirement from the entertainment industry. Who do you guys think would win? Explain your answer.

Wow. Great match-up. In reality, they'd probably just hug each other, but for the sake of this brawl we'll say they are mortal enemies and want to rip each other to pieces. Barney doesn't have much to fight with. He's just so soft and fuzzy. His hits would be pretty useless. About the only thing he could do is smother Big Bird. I would think Big Bird would have a slight advantage with those long legs and his huge beak. He could probably deliver some good kicks and peck Barney's stuffing out with his huge beak. Big Bird. Barney has him in weight and momentum, but Big Bird can, if I recall, Fly. Add that to his nasty spear-beak, and you have one dead dinosaur. |
