It wasn't too long ago that I happened to catch an episode of House, a television series that debuted on Fox back in 2004. The series chronicles Dr. Gregory House(played by actor Hugh Laurie), a doctor in charge of diagnostic medicine at a teaching hospital in New Jersey whose brilliance is matched only by his ascerbic, abrasive and sarcastic personality and mannerisms. Additional cast includes House's boss, Dr. Lisa Cuddy(played by Lisa Edelstein), House's friend and oncologist Dr. James Wilson(played by Robert Sean Leonard), and the team of doctors assigned to Dr. House who help him diagnose the difficult medical cases that he and his group try to solve. Other regular cast members include Dr. Robert Chase(played by Jesse Spencer), Dr. Eric Foreman(played by Omar Epps), Dr. Remy Hadley(played by Olivia Wilde) and Dr. Allison Cameron(played by Jennifer Morrison). I've been watching episodes every week(in syndication) on the USA cable channel. I'm not usually enamored with weekly television shows but this one is, IMO, quite good. This topic thread is for the discussion of this TV series and anything related. Any other House fans around here? A link: http://www.fox.com/house/ |

Yeah I really like this show. I thought all medical shows were boring and awful, until I saw this one. Great show. Seen all of it I think, and now I watch every new episode. Missed the last one, though. Gonna have to catch it on hulu when it's uploaded. |

I have seen some criticism that this show's cast is "bloated"(one of the words used), that there are too many members on House's team. Maybe. As long as they keep Dr. Allison Cameron, who is both gorgeous and smart, I'm good. ![]() I saw the episode where Dr. Cameron left and House went to her apartment twice to ask her to come back. He was rebuffed the first time but the second time Dr. Cameron agreed to come back on one condition: that Dr. House take her on a dinner date as "colleagues". I wonder if they've shown the episode where they have that date because I'd be interested in seeing how the date went. ![]() Here's a wallpaper of the lovely Jennifer Morrison:

Given that it is a drama series, they'd be insane not to show this scene. Indeed, it's very much there, and I believe it takes place in the episode after. I won't spoil it for you, though. And House is one of my favorite TV series ever. In fact, it's probably the only drama series I like. |

Yeah I think the writing is good enough that they can have the amount of characters that they do. I watch the show mainly for House himself, and thankfully the show stays fairly focused on him. |

I looked at the DVD sets of this series while I was in Best Buy today. They retail for $49.99 per season. I saw the first three seasons on sale individually and also packaged together. I'm going to start buying these in January, 2009-one season DVD set per month.

Any "House" fans around here care to guess whether the writers of this show will have House and Cuddy finally hook up? Also, I have a question: how did House acquire his limp? What happened to his leg?

1: I don't think they will, honestly. 2: He recieved an infarction in his leg, that forced his doctors to amputate a dead muscle. There are other things related to the event that I really shouldn't explain. |

Just watched one of my favorite episodes of this series, a Season 3 episode #4 installment called "Lines In The Sand". In this episode House and his team treat an autistic boy who has been suffering from other ailments unrelated to his condition. House also takes issue with Dr. Cuddy having his office carpet replaced and begins a series of annoying actions to compel his boss to put his old carpet back. The ending where the autistic boy gives Dr. House his PSP is priceless.

Looks like the next episode is January 19. Darn. Seems like most of my shows are on hiatus here. |
