It looks cool, but the only reason they like it is because it's darker. But the comic says nothing about a story. They'd be more impressed by my vision of a Godzilla film.

Where are you getting that? COMIC BOOK! I got the impression from the article, and the commenters below the article, that they wanted to see that as a movie. But perhaps I misinterpreted, and they only wanted to see it as a full comic book.
