Looks like another monster mash B movie is in the works, perhaps because of the web notoriety of the "Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus" trailer. The title for this latest project: Dinocroc Vs Supergator.

And I'm calling this one "Packmule's Rant":

"Why the hell wasn't it in stock at Best Buy this past Friday?" angree

From the article:

You think it’s ****? You hate this sort of f**king crap? Fine, so why exactly did you watch the trailer at all?
very funny

I have this theory, Avery that people like to bash things(and other people) because it somehow makes them less miserable about their own lives and situations. It's easier for many to bash something or somebody than just to withhold comment when they have nothing good to say. winky

Do you guys think it is at Blockbuster?
The Blockbuster Video store across the street from my employer stocks it as a rental, but not as a "for sale" DVD. The associate in the store said rental copies of this film would end up in the "for sale" used DVD promo bins after a month(or two).

I finally got around to watching it and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was just enough of a great b-monster rumble fix. The fight scenes were better than would have been expected and the monster footage although rather limited was wisely scattered out throughout the film. It definitely had it's fair share of flaws, shortcomings, and at least a couple of missed opportunities[mostly due to it's very tight budget and shooting schedule] but it's easily the best of Asylum's films and anyone can see by watching it that they were definitely trying much harder with this entry to give us what we want. I found t to be a fun time. Here's Robert Hood's review which perfectly dissects the film's pros and cons better than I could ever describe:

I've failed to find Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus at two Best Buys near my residence for the last two weekends so it looks like I'll have to order it from Amazon sometime this coming week.

Robert Hood has a fantastic, informative, and revealing in-depth 2-part interview with the director Jack Perez[a.k.a. Ace Hannah] on the "Undead Backbrain":

I watched Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus Saturday night on "SyFy". I wouldn't categorize this film as terrible. The movie had its moments where it was fairly entertaining to watch. Debbie Gibson certainly looked nice. tongue-2

The CGI effects looked decent at times and also looked too much like a video game at times.

I applaud "The Asylum" for making this film and hope to see similar films from these guys in the future with better overall special effects. winky
