I've browsed quite a few websites devoted to great white sharks. I'm inclined to believe the 1945 great white caught off the coast of Cuba, at just over 21 feet in length, is the largest shark ever caught where the length was officially, and accurately verified. That said I also believe, given the amount of things we still do not know about the deep depths of the Earth's oceans, there are probably larger specimens of great white sharks prowling the deeps. How much bigger? Who knows? I believe 25-30 foot long great white sharks are absolutely within the realm of possibility.

Hmm...I believe I've seen this many years ago...this is the one where the shark was stabbed with the broken boat mast thing at the end? Sorry if that spoiler killed it for anyone, but if it was that film, I remember it being my least favorite.

My main problem with Jaws The Revenge(1987), which I saw here in Atlanta in a theater when it was first released, is the plot: utilizing the "revenge" motif to explain a shark's attacks on the remaining members of the Brody family just doesn't cut it with me and, I'm thinking, probably not with the vast majority of others who have seen this movie.
