I believe this series came out in 1960, but as a young one, I can recall seeing this on TV early in the morning during some kids-themed TV show. I always enjoyed this, but haven't seen it in years. I see it is or was available on DVD, but it's rather pricey, so I haven't been able to get the collection, but wondered if there was any other fans out there? As mentioned, it's been so many years since I actually saw the toons, I wonder if they'll be as fun as I recall?

Though a great fan of 1960's cartons I am not very familiar with this animated series. Here is a good link for those(including myself) who want to learn more about this 1960 television series: Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse Page

That is a very cool site, packmule! thumbs up I think it was on TV before I was even in Kindergarten, but I watched it every morning and just about the only foe I can recall is, The Frog, mainly because of that voice! I'd dearly love to get my hands on this collection, just wish it was a tad bit cheaper! Perhaps I'll ask Santa for it, this Christmas. ;)

You could. I quit asking "Santa" for things after 1976. That year I asked him to leave Lynda Carter under the tree for me for Christmas tongue-1 ...unfortunately he couldn't deliver and I have been hardhearted towards ole Saint Nick ever since. cheeky sick smiley

The topic: "Courageous Cat"-another animated cartoon series I will start looking for on DVD-R. And while we're talking about cartoon series, let me recommend, KF, Spiderman-The '67 Collection-all of Spidey's episodes from the classic 1967 series. I enjoy this one. thumbs up

My dad introduced me to Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse when I was just a little kid. I remember him enjoying it more than I did. The main villain was named "The Frog". Basically he spoke and looked like Edward G Robinson, which I thought was pretty funny.

LOL....Old Santa has remained pretty good to me over the years, but then Santa's elves also made it perfectly clear that some things, Santa would NEVER deliver, so after a couple of small disappointments, I lowered my expectations. ;)

I have seen the Spiderman '67 Collection a couple of times and always mean to pick it up, guess I'll have to get serious about this, now.

I can just barely remember seeing this on early morning TV, must have been around '70-'71, but The Frog is the one villain that has always remained in my memory, just because of the distinct voice!

I remember my Dad introducing me to some great 'toons' as a kid, I'm not so sure he thought that when he introduced me to the toons that I'd still be loving many, if not most of them, all these years later! Mr Green

I'd like to have that collection myself. The first, and still the best, animated Spider-Man series.

The problem with me is, I have a DVD wish list as long as my arm and I keep trying to add some titles from my wish list to my collection, but every week, new faves are added to the 'to be released' list or are released and I can't seem to ever catch up. I live in terror that several titles will go OOP before I can add them to my collection.

I live in terror that several titles will go OOP before I can add them to my collection.

That fear is, unfortunately, often reality regarding titles going out of print. Examples: the Simitar DVD releases of Godzilla King Of The Monsters(1956), Godzilla Vs Mothra(1964), Godzilla Vs Monster Zero(1965), and Godzilla's Revenge(1969), all of which I bought in 1997. They are all stellar DVDs, with clean prints, lbx formats(even the 1956 film), and nice extras. Not long after I bought these DVDs Simitar Video went out of business. Fortunately, these titles will be available on Region 1 again with the Sept. Classic Media re-releases-nine years later. The same goes for the Neptune Media VHS copies of the Showa Gamera films that Neptune released-after I bought them Neptune Media soon went out of business. Don't hold your breath for these letterboxed, subtitled Showa Gamera titles on Reg 1 DVD anytime soon. That motivation often drives me to buy a DVD title as opposed to something else that I have been planning on buying. freak out

I understand Wal-Mart has good bargain bins for DVDs, though there isn't really one that is close to me. Indeed, I often feel like a cat rummaging through a garbage can(looking for food) when scouring the DVD aisles at Best Buy-and no thanks to Best Buy, for usually not having what I wanted in the first place. cheeky sick smiley
