My "top ten" list of favorite Godzilla movies has varied slightly at times, and in the order I rank them in terms of how much I like them, but not very much. These are the ten I generally count as my favorites, and in order, with #1 being my favorite:

I know it's ludicrous, but I still haven't seen every Godzilla movie ever made. So I don't know how much I like some of them. And then there are some that I haven't seen in a long time, so it's hard to decide. Here's a temporary top 10. 1. Gojira (1954) 2. The Return of Godzilla (1984) 3. GMK (2001) 4. Godzilla vs. Monster Zero (1965) 5. King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962) 6. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) 7. Godzilla X Mechagodzilla (2002) 8. Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964) 9. I don't think it's ludicrous that you haven't seen all the Godzilla films. In fact, I kind of envy you, Crow: you can still enjoy the ones you haven't watched yet without knowing what's going to happen in them.

Because I feel that the anti-nuclear message in G84 is just better handled. After all, in G54, it was just the Japanese. In G84, it was the whole world. Plus, in the JP version, it goes into extreme detail into debates untouched on. Plus, the score is darker and just better. |

Well, I saw yours, I didn't copy it from yours, I just feel it truely is the greatest Godzilla movie of all time. It was a landmark in Special Effects, Biollante looked great as with the music. It has a great feel to it. If you watch it on a nice summer night, the feel is just right. Thats when I first saw it one night, at 11 o' clock. Every one had passed out, and I was only 4. Boring at first, But I loved it. Many Fans overlook this one if you ask me sadlyicon. But yah, great film!

These are mine,at the moment [they do tend to change],and this is personal favs,not necessarily which ones I think are the best on an artistic level! I guess I'm more of an old school guy,though I've enjoyed pretty much every film except the American one!. 1/ Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster 2/ Mothra Vs Godzilla 3/ Destroy All Monsters 4/ Godzilla '54 5/ King Kong Vs Godzilla [at least the Japanese version] 6/ Godzilla Vs Mothra 7/ Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah 8/ Godzilla Vs Megaguirus 9/ Godzilla Vs Biollante 10/Godzilla Vs Megalon [just for sheer fun though I appreciate it's not a very good movie!] Edited by Jonzilla, Aug 27 2009, 04:17 PM.

Something of a bit of thread drift here but reading Jonzilla's favorite G movies got me wondering how I would most like to see these movies as a theatrical drive in double feature at an outdoor drive in.
