This has me scared. I do not need to explain myself, but I plan on e-mailing this to the US Gov.

"To Whom It May Concern:

I am a 8th grade student comming to the 9th grade. But I feel that I have to share something of the utmost importance to our leading politicians and even our world leaders. Tensions with North Korea reguarding their nuclear tests are mounting, and with Korea officialy saying, "Those who provoke [North Korea] once will not be able to escape its unimaginable and merciless punishment," it seems that this country may be, in the future, declareing war. However, I would like to tell President Barack Obama, the Japanese Prime Minister, and all other International Political leaders that we need to - obviously - negate war, especialy nuclear war. It is scientificaly proven that a war like that would do more damage than what global warming is doing at this rate.

There was a very powerful film made in 1954 by Toho Studios which I would like our World Leaders to see in one way or another. It is called "Gojira". It has a heavy allegorical message and I want to give it's message to the world. Thank You. Here is a link to see the film for free:

Actually, and respectfully, I believe an explanation would benefit me and anyone else reading this post, and who is familiar with the history of North Korean political posturing since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

very funny

Evan, a question for you: do you believe the government of the U.S. gives a damn about you? Or me? Or any single American citizen? If you can answer "yes" to that then I would recommend you watch more CNN news and Fox news. Just a thought. And as for getting Barack Obama(and other world leaders) to watch the film Gojira to better understand your sentiment, I would respectfully submit that these guys already realize these things without having to watch the movie. winky

I'm not trying to ridicule or diminish your opinion in any way, Evan. The thing is, North Korea has, as our president recently said, "rattled its saber". North Korea has been doing this since the close of the Korean War. I'm not saying the U.S. shouldn't be without any concern about this communist country's regime, because it should, but I am saying that too many people are reading way too much into North Korea's recent test firings of nuclear rockets. Obviously anything is possible these days but I seriously doubt that another world war, or any kind of more regionalized conflict, will start over North Korea's recent actions. winky
