SUNDAY JULY 26, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, ROOM 8

GODZILLA & THE MASTER OF MONSTERS: Join author August Ragone (Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters, Chronicle Books) for a visual tribute to Japan’s Master of Monsters, Eiji Tsuburaya, the man who created the analog special effects for Godzilla and invented the kaiju eiga (giant monster movie) genre. Much like Derek Meddings (Thunderbirds), Tsuburaya and his team built elaborate miniature city and landscapes, which were summarily destroyed in pyrotechnical conflagrations or by men in monster suits. See over a hundred rare, behind-the-scenes photographs from some of his major films, such as Rodan, The Mysterians, Mothra, and The War of the Gargantuas, all in one colossal presentation!

I will also be signing copies of Eiji Tsuburaya at the Chronicle Books booth (#1506) on Saturday, July 25 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Evan,
Someone sabotaged the link over on Monster Zero, which takes you to a very nasty photo. The moderator, Robert Saint John, instead of removing the offending link, locked the thread.

I posted a follow-up thread with the correct URL. Some people are just the lowest of the low... Anyhow, here's a photo from the San Diego Comic Con this past weekend:

Third time today I am reminded of the hack. Why don't I just stay depressed?

Nice pic of the former WWF greats. Virgil still looks to be in pretty good shape after all these years.
