Killzone 2 review

Killzone 2 is a Gritty sci fi Shooter with amazing graphics and visuals but how does the Gameplay hold up.

Story: Two years after the assault on Vekta, the ISA is raging war at the helgasts home world of helgan. You play as sev an ISA veteran along with a team of highly trained solders. Your mission is to bring down Emperor Visari, and bring the helgan War machine down, this is just the start. Sevs is also tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City. The team discovers the planet is unstable and the helgast have a secret weapon planning to try to kill the ISA and win the war on helgan.

Gameplay:
Killzone 2s Gameplay is really easy to jump into, you have a cover system which allows Sev to easily use the crouch button to automatically go into cover, enemies in Killzone are really smart and are always one step ahead, they use melee and tactics and some try to sneak around you, every time you find enemies there actually doing something not just waiting to be killed, there are stronger enemies which are called heavies and can only be defeated by shooting then in the head which then makes them do a 180 turn exposing a gas tank on the back which you need to shoot, Killzone lets you control a ISA tank for a small time which handles Perfect just like a tank should, and a Mech near the end which can run, jump and shoot which is all really nice and adds a nice mixture of shooting and machines, guns range from, machine guns, pistols, flame throwers, rifles, rocked launchers and the lightning gun, grenades leave a Yellow trail ,some will find this helpful and some will find it annoying. Killzone also features a motion sensor function for placing charges and turning valves which make you turn the ps3 controller like you were really doing which adds a nice touch to the game. Killzone also features online which is excellent, modes include Death match, Assassination, body count, search and destroy, search and retrieve and capture and hold, some maps are 32 player maps and other smaller, other features include making your own classes, leveling up, clan support, and reign select. If you have no internet there’s an offline Bot mode.

Graphics: Killzone’s graphics are high; you start to notice when reloading. Cut scenes are perfectly rendered and all flow well into Gameplay, all characters and modeled and animates perfectly, except the flame thrower witch looks awful.

Sound: Sound is pretty good, voice acting is great, and the helgan always talk to you, whether they saying how much they hate you, or saying how much they want to kill you. Bullets firing, sound affects are spot on.

Overall: 9/10 Killzone 2 is a stunning game that fits in all categories

Little big planet review

Little big planet is may look like a child's game put proves to be more

Story: The residents of little big planet need your help, many of the characters and there Creation's have gone missing and it's up to you to help and restore peace to little big planet and catch the person behind it.

Gameplay: little big planet is a side scroller which you switch from foreground to background in a side scrolling adventure. as soon as you turn little big planet on its set as a fun game with a fun narrator and tutorials followed by simple but fun gameplay. you can dress your sackboy in thousands of different ways from hair, head, neck, torso, legs, feet and more. the story mode takes about five hours to complete if you run through at a normal pace, it will take you longer if you want to collect all the prizes. In story mode you run, jump, swing, drive and fly your way through different areas which range from, Islands, to kings castles, metro, and the wilderness anytime during the game you can put stickers you collect anywhere you want, somethings are triggered by stickers which reward you with points or prizes, but the fun is in the level editor which you can literally make anything and everything, with this you can create your own stories, vehicles, characters, scenery and weapons. when the game said "play with everything" they meant it. which you use to make your very own world, after that you can publish it online which people can play, rate, tag and heart. levels are created every day, which leaves you to never run out of levels and things to do, you can also buy new level kits and costumes from the PSN store. little big planet also features Coop which is online and offline from there you can make levels, play levels, talk and more.

Graphics: 8/10: For a side scroller the graphics are great, down to every detail, wood, metal, plastic, foam and more look and react the same as they should, so much care has gone into this game.

Sound: 9/10 the sound it fantastic, The narrator helps and has a nice polite voice, the music score is Great you can sound almost anything, Footsteps on different things all sound how they should like the clunking on metal to the quiet footsteps on foam.

Overall:
8.5/10 little big planet is almost the perfect game. that will keep you coming back for more.

Motorstorm Review

Motorstorm is a Fast off road racing game but is it any good?.

Story: There's really no story its a straight forward racing game

Gameplay: Motorstorm is a great racing game has a good amount of vehicles to choose from including Motorbikes, big rigs, ATVs, buggies, Racing trucks and more, tracks are Really well designed all to the last detail, most of them look like the out back mountains of Australia, Vehicles handle the way they should, in mud bikes slip and slide while trucks and Mudpluggers (Buggies) Drive through easily the game offers a certain path for the vehicles its best to stay up high in the bikes and small vehicles and down low with the bigger ones, the single player is Very weak with only containing Stand alone races no time trails or free races, but somewhat makes up with online but with no Offline to play with a friend on the couch its pretty dull but can still be fun, Rag doll physics are in affect, when you crash a Slow mo Camera Focuses on your crash in a amazing Affect showing your car smash away Mud trails as your Person slides arounds breaking every bone in his body, all Marks, and dirt tracks don't magically disappear they stay throughout the entire race which adds a touch of realism, for the bikers you can taunt people and Whack them off there bikes and bigger cars toot there horn.

Sound: 8/10 sound it Spot one, Motorbikes sound how they should, Trucks Have a certain Feel that makes the sound realistic, crashes, sound and the Soundtrack of heavy metal all make that game funner

Graphics: 8/10 For one of the first PS3 games the graphics are fantastic, on a standard TV some off the Bushes are a bit 2d and weird looking but on a plasma its truly Wonderful

Overall: 7/10 motorstorm is a fun racer to while away the hours but isn't the best
