A remake of 1982's Poltergeist is planned, with a tentative theatrical release for November, 2010: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16177.html Rumors abound that Kate Beckinsale will reprise her role as the beautiful vampire "Selene" in a fourth Underworld film: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16188.html The "Predator" remake is set to start shooting very soon and will be a direct sequel to the 1987 film: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16190.html An official trailer for The Descent Part 2(2009) is now online: 2005's The Descent, directed by Neil Marshall, is one of the best horror movies I've seen in the last twenty years. Hopefully the sequel, which will open in theaters in late 2009, will be good, too.

A remake of the 1958 sci-fi classic The Blob is in the works. Reports are that funding(about $30 million) has been set aside for this project. Who will direct? Rob Zombie. Having just posted AMC's 2009 "Fearfest" movie schedule at this board, and being generally disappointed again at AMC's redundant and predictable line up of movies, I began to wonder which horror films I'd choose were I in charge of "Fearfest". It looks like Jeepers Creepers 3 will get made. According to Victor Salva, who directed the first two films in this franchise, funding for the third installment is coming together and pre-production on the film will start in the near future. Source: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16743.html |
