Prologue

April 25, 1999
Kiska Island, Alaska
Ft. Kiska Base

The US army had never come up against an oponent like this. Shells were exploding all around. Through the smoke, Colonel Montorie could only see the dark looming figure with large dorsal fins. 73% of his forces were already destroyed, communication had been cut off from the mainland, so he couldn't call for reinforcements. Suddenly the smoke cleared and the colonel could make out the figure, a large biped dinosaur like monster with large dorsal fins. Colonel Montorie had identified the creature as Godzilla. But why had it suddenly appeared now, it had been 45 years since his epic attack on Tokyo in 1954. The tanks opened fire again, just as Godzilla turned to face his attackers, a barage of rockets came at him from the other side. Godzilla was now confused. It now seemed as he was retreating. The giant stumbled through smoke and explosions to a large cliff overlooking the sea. Colonel Montorie gave the order for rockets to concentrate on the base of the cliff. The rockets struck their target with pin point accuracy. The cliff began to split and Godzilla and the large remaining boulders plummeted into the sea. "Good job Seargent!" Colonel Montorie exclaimed, "Now lets reestablish contact with the mainland and get this place cleaned up." Just then there was a bright flash of light in the sea. Just then Godzilla's heat beam rushed out from the sea aimed directly at Ft. Kiska. The base was now completely destroyed, no surviors could be found in the wreckage.

Chapter 1
2004

The discovery of Pera, a new element, has brought a revolution to the energy industry. All but two of Japan's nuclear reactors have been replace with Pera reactors. Pera is safer, cleaner, and cheaper than Nuclear energy.

Masaki was furious, for the fourth time his story had gotten denied. He was on his way to give the editor a piece of his mind. They had run the first four parts of his investigative story on the Kiska disaster, why shut the story down all of the sudden. As he entered the editor's office, his rage climbed even more. The editor was smiling back at him, "What can i do for you now Masaki?" "Well sir, you can stop denying my stories. I'm tired of this happening." Masaki told the editor. "I see," said the editor, "well I'm sorry the Kiska story has been discontinued, by order of the government." "What?!" cried Masaki. "However, I can give you the first crack at the story at the Mikura Pera Plant, " the editor said, "seems there is something strange going on, accidents and such." Masaki looked sinical at the editor's suggestion, but he thought this might be the opportunity he's been looking for. "Alright." Masaki agreed.

Haneda Airport

Masaki was uneasy as he prepared to board a helicopter for the trip to Mikura island and the Pera plant there. There had been at least three deaths reported so far. Many injuries had been reported as well. What would he find on Mikura? What was the cause of all of these accidents? He would soon find out..............or die trying.

Chapter 2
June 3, 2004
Northern Pacific Ocean, 100 miles north of Hokaido

The Keiko Maru was sailing south, heading back to Nemura after a very disappointing day at sea. Something was wrong, the spots that were ussually thriving with fish were bare today. There was lightening across the horizon. "A storm is approaching," Captain Kyuki told his first mate, "maybe thats why the fishing was poor today. First mate Yuri replied, "I hope so." although he didn't believe it in his heart. Another flash, this one was closer. Suddenly Yuri noticed that the flashes weren't comming from the sky. Yuri looked at Captain Kyuki, he had noticed it too. Suddenly the radar went off. There was something large approaching them. The Captain put the engines at full power, the object underwater seemed to change its course and began to approach the Keiko Maru at even greater speed. Before long the object was directly under them. Suddenly three rows of large formations rose from the sea. The ship was lifted from the water and was now on the giant creature's back. Another flash came from the large dorsal fins on the creatures back. A bell-like roar rang through the ship as it split in half from the force of the creature. One half plumeted to the ocean, the other half of the boat burst into flames when another glow came from the creature's fins. The creature then turned and started on a southwest course, its next target was Nemura.

Mikura Island Helipad

Masaki got out of the helicopter, nauseaus and barely able to stand after the turbulent helicopter ride. Already he noticed something strange, the temperature rose significantly since he had begun to fly over Mikura Island. Is was a short trip to the Pera Plant. When Masaki got there he was imediatly escorted to his quaters, provided by the plant. He had to reschedule his meeting with the plant owners for tommorow. He was still far too sick from the bumpy helicopter ride. He gulped a large amount of Pepto and layed down to go to sleep.

Chapter 3
June 6, 2004, 9:30am
Mikura Island Pera Plant

Masaki walked up a long corridor, he was still a little jumpy. He did not know what to expect still. During the night he had heard some commotion, but he brushed it off as a dream. Now all he could wonder was "Did it really happen? and what was it?" He hoped that all of his questions would be answered when he met with the plant owners today. Finally he got to the room he was looking for. He opened the door and there were two of the three plant owners staring back at him. Where was the third Masaki wondered? Masaki took a seat just across the table from the two directors.

"Hello, I'm Yoshi Shigeki." the first owner introduced himself.

"I'm Asoka Tonogashi" the female of the owners introduced herself.

"Well Mr. Masaki," proclaimed Shigeki, "shall we begin?"

Nemuro, Hokaido, Japan

Ken was just tieing his boat to the dock. He like all of the other fishermen from Nemura had a bad catch today. He was begining to worry about the horrible fishing. His livelyhood was at stake here. He told himself that if the fishing was bad again tommorow he would have to take a part time job. Another small wave hit the shore, the sea was strangly rough tonight. Wave after wave was hitting the shore.

The sun was setting over the horizon. Nightfall was almost here. The townspeople were all settling in their homes. The 8:00 was just starting to board at the train station. Out on the sea, Ken could see another wave comming in. This one was the biggest of the night so far, couldn't be less than 5 feet high. Ken noticed as the wave got closer, it got bigger! Now it was a 7 foot wave. The other fisherman had noticed it too and started to head away from the dock. Ken stood there, all he could do is stare at the large wave comming right at him. The large 13 foot wave finally crashed into the shore, destroying every boat at the dock. Ken had managed to unfreeze himself and get to a save alcove. Ken tried to look back at the dock and noticed a dark figure rising from the water. The creature was moving toward the town. Citizens that had survived the wave where now shocked as this giant lumbered ashore. Ken felt his stomache drop when he realized the creature that stood before him was Godzilla.

Godzilla let out his roar. Windows exploded all over the town. Paniced people filled the streets, trying to escape Godzilla's wrath. Godzilla had now come ashore, he turned his body to face the south. As the monster turned, the charred remains of the Keiko Maru plumeted to the ground. Ken began running for his life.

This was definitly an ominous day. Godzilla had returned to Japan after 50 years. He was making a bee-line for breakfast, the nuclear power plant at Obihiro, one of the only two left in Japan.

Chapter 4
June 6, 2004, 10:00am
Mikura Island Pera Plant

Masaki was in his meeting with two out of the three Pera plant owners. They were telling him about the past accidents. They've had many injuries, many of the plant workers have requested to leave. The heat on the island was also unatural. None of them had explanations for what was going on. The only possible reason anyone could think of is that it had something to do with the cooling system. The cooling system uses ocean water that flows from a channel from the ocean through the plant and back out. The chief technicians feel that something must be going on in the cooling system when it reaches the plant.

"Unfortunatly, to investigate this we would have to shut down power from this plant," Togonashi explained "but if we did that we would shut down power to all of the southern island. We are working to connect our grid to other plants so we can begin our investigation, but we are continuously having these accidents."

Outside the heat was unbearable to the plant workers working outside. Suddenly a hiss came from the trees nearby. The workers just ignored it and went back to their bussiness. Suddenly another hiss, this one was louder and closer. The trees started moving around like something was moving through them. Another hiss combined with a growl came from the trees.

"We have another problem sir!" cried the voice over the intercom. "Its coming from the forest again."

Just then a large reptillian head peered out of the tree tops. It had a single horn that crested its head, two red eyes, and a mouth with jagged teeth that seemed to point in every direction.

Masaki came outside just in time to see the large creature come out of the forest. It walked on all fours, heading directly for the Pera plant. The creature crushed a part of the plant. The plant workers began to flee in terror. The creature began to trample the plant as it was a toy. There was something in that facility for him, and he was going to get it. The creature moved toward the largest part of the facility. He crushed the two large smoke stacks and was at the core. The creature was after the Pera in the plant. The creature feasted on the raw material. He observed his setting and then turned around and headed for the forest.

Asoka grabbed the radio in the helicopter. She began to radio the mainland of their situation.

Location Unknown

Alarms were going off in the underground base.

"ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ALERT LEVEL 5, ALERT LEVEL 5" cried the voice over the loud speaker.

"We have a boegy on Mikura Island" said Seargent Shindo as they boarded their craft.

The crew boarded the TWC-4145 code named "WHITE EAGLE". The White Eagle prepared for takeoff from the secret underground base off to do battle with the mysterious creature from Mikura Island. This would be the first mission of the White Eagle, a craft designed for this kind of combat.

Chapter 5
June 6, 2004
Mikura Island Pera Plant
10:45 am

"Hurry up and get in!" Asoka cried to Masaki from the helicopter.

The large reptilian creature continued to destroy the mangled facility. It walked on all fours, had four claws on each foot, large round scales around its body, a curved spike on each shoulder with a short fat snout. The creature let out a roar with a hiss behind it. It was still hungry.

"Hurry up and get in!" Asoka cried again.

But Masaki was to frozen with fear. Just then he saw Shegeki comming out of the office building adjacent to the plant. The creature turned and crushed the offices of the Mikura Pera Plant. Once again it let out a roar with a hiss behind it.

As Asoka started the helicopter blades, the creature turned. It had heard her! Quickly she jumped out of the chopper and ran toward Masaki who was still frozen with fear. She grabbed him and they ran into the forest. Asoka watched as the monster approached the helicopter and crushed it with its powerful claws. Their only escape from the island was now gone.

The creature turned again, this time taking out a few trees with it's long tail. It approached the plant again, looking for any material it may have missed. It was still hungry and now aggitated because its food supply had run out.

The Skys over the Pacific Ocean near Mikura Island
11:05 am

The White Eagle was on a steady course. Upon approaching Mikura island, the crew noticed large plumes of smoke comming from the island. As they got closer they could see something moving about on the ground. The crew felt assured their craft would get the job done. The White Eagle was designed by the top engineers in Japan. It had a rounded off cone on the nose, very slender design with five jet engines at the rear, in case they needed to outrun an enemy. It was designed with 20 different missiles in many hidden compartments. At the tip of the wing it was equiped with two powerful ray guns known as "Mazers".

When the craft reached the island they had identified their target. It wasn't the target that they expected to see. This creature was on all fours, had curved spikes on its head and shoulders, four claws on each foot, a short and wide snout, and green eyes that stared at the White Eagle.

"Prepare for battle," anounced Seargeant Shindo, "this isn't the creature we've trained for, but we've got to defeat it none-the-less."

"YES SIR!" the crew agreed unanimously.

As the White Eagle approached, two compartments on each wing openned up and dozens of rockets began flying out. Each one struck the monster dead on.

The creature was now afraid. It now identified this as an enemy. More rockets struck the beast. Just then another set of missiles, comming from different compartments, launched and shot straight at him, while more launched into the air and rained down upon him. The creature let out a shrill cry of pain.

"Prepare Mazers!" commanded Shindo

The Mazer cannons on the wings charged up and fired two blue beams directly at the monster. One of these beams struck him in the mouth. He cried in pain again. The area was now thick with smoke.

Suddenly bright purple flashes began to show up through the smoke. A deeper, more commanding cry came from the smoke as the creature's head, now lined at the top with threes curved spikes, emerged from the smoke. It's front two feet had evolved now into hands, and the creature was standing on two feet. Before the crew could react, the monster emited a purple heat beam of pure Pera energy.

The synthetic diamond shielding on the White Eagle was no match for this new awesome power. When the beam struck the craft, systems started shutting down, some of the components were instantly burned.

The monster, proud of having vanquished its enemy, let out another deep roar and jumped into the sea, heading directly for mainland Japan.

The White Eagle made a forced emergency landing on the island to make repairs. As Sergeant Shindo emerged from the craft, he could see two figures comming out of the forest.

"WE HAVE TWO SURVIVORS!" he cried "MEDIC, GET OVER HERE!"

June 6, 2004 6:45pm
White Eagle Base, ????, Japan

Masaki woke up in the infirmary, he still didn't know where he was. Last thing he remembered is the medic giving him some sleep inducers on Mikura Island. He looked around the room, and there was Asoka, sitting in the chair reading the Shinbu Star, the magazine he worked for.

"Oh, you're up." Asoka said as she noticed him. "I'll tell Mr. Shindo, he said he would fill us in."

Five minutes passed before Shindo came through the door.

"Well lets get to the chase," Shindo said loudly, "welcome to G-Defense headquaters."

"G-Defense Headquaters?" Masaki was confused.

"Yes," replied Shindo, "founded in the year 1999. In April 1999, the american base Ft. Kiska was destroyed. For months the Americans were on edge wondering what attacked them. During the cleanup they found out. One of their supply boats was destroyed on route to the island. They managed to find survivors who were able to tell the story of what they saw. These survivors died shortly from radiation poisoning and burns. The americans pieced it together between the footprints, the strange attack, and the boat crash. They figured it was Godzilla that had attacked them."

"That's why the government put a stop on my Kiska stories in our magazine." Masaki realized.

"Yes," replied Shindo, "we didn't want the world to know about this Godzilla's existance until we were able to fight it. In 1997, a Russian nuclear submarine was lost in the Bering Sea. We believe this led to the birth of this Godzilla. It seems that the monster has sufficient food to live in the northern sea for now. It hasn't shown itself for five years now. We started to build this base, and the White Eagle as a joint venture with America. The White Eagle was to defend any friendly nation against Godzilla. The base was built in Japan by unanimous vote. If Godzilla should attack civilization again, our scientists felt it would be Japan."

A man in a white lab coat rushed in to the room. "Sir, we've completed our research on the new creature." said the scientist.

"Ah, Masaki, Miss Asoka, this is our Chief Biologist, Dr Richardson, from New York." Shindo introduced them to the grizzled elderly man. He had grey, bushy, and unkept hair. He looked like he hadn't shaved today. "Probably from the excitement of finding a new monster." Masaki thought to himself.

"Well since you guys are the only living people to see this besides us, you should come to this meeting with us." Shindo said in a grim voice. "Maybe you have something to add."

Later in the briefing room, Dr. Richardson put up some slides. These were pictures of the creature taken from the White Eagle's surveilance cameras.

"This creature, we are calling Doragah, began its life as a quadra-ped," the Dr. started, "we believe it was deep in an ocean trench. It then was awoken by the noise of the Pera plant drilling and was attracted to the surface. We think it got caught up in the cooling system of the plant, which feeds directly from the ocean, and was exposed to Pera. As we know, Pera is not a threat to humans if exposed to it. But we have not studied its effects on reptiles or amphibions. This creature gained trememdous strength. As it got bigger so did its appetite. That is why it devoured the plants remaining raw material. It then used this abundance of material to grow and evolve into a bi-ped. It even has a heat beam now, that may even be stronger than Godzilla's. We don't know yet, it may have only damaged the armor because it wasn't built to withstand it."

"So what about the heat increase around the island?" asked Asoka, "What do you think caused this? And why name this creature Doragah also?"

"Doragah is just something one of the other biologists dreamed up." the Dr replied. "The heat increase may have been because of the creature's hunger. As he gets hungry, his body starts working overtime to compensate for the lack of nutrients. The body as a result produces heat. "

Suddenly alarms start to go off all around the base. There was trouble, this time the trouble was in Hokkaido.

Chapter 6
June 6, 2004 8:00pm
Nemura, Hokkaido, Japan

Paniced people filled the streets of the once peaceful town. Fires were erupting everywhere as gaslines ruptured. The excess noise and confusion only angered Godzilla, who had just come ashore after fives years. Godzilla let out a low, bell like roar, and continued on his path. The houses and shops of Nemura were crushed under the feet of the massive creature. More fires and explosions erupted, Godzilla roared again. With a swing of his mighty tail, Godzilla managed to take out an entire block of houses. The monster, who had returned to Japan after a 50 year absense, was heading for Obihiro. His target was the Nuclear Power plant in that small town. Godzilla smelled dinner.

People began to flood out of the train station as they noticed Godzilla's presense in the city. His foot came down on the building and crushed it like it were weightless. The the engineer who was still in the train, tried to make a break for it in the train. Godzilla's mighty foot came down and the train smashed right into the back of it.

Meanwhile......
G-Defense Headquaters

The defense room had sprung into action. They tried franticly to establish signal with Nemura, to try and get a visual.

"ALERT LEVEL 10 SIR!" cried a female radio operator, "GODZILLA HAS COME ASHORE IN NEMURA! THE CITY HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!"

"Godzilla!!!!" Shido exclaimed. "Oh what a day, first Doragah shows up, White Eagle is damaged, Godzilla shows up and we can't go after him. What is his present course?" the Sergeant asked.

"DUE WEST SIR! HE APPEARS TO BE HEADING FOR OBIHIRO!" the radio officer replied.

"Ok, call an evacuation of the town of Obihiro! Tell them to head for Sapporo." the sergeant called out. "Any luck on a visual."

"MOMENTARILY SIR!" The radio officer counted down..."5...4...3...2...1... WE HAVE VISUAL!"

Suddenly the static on the large screen cleared. Godzilla had left Nemura and was now almost in Kushiro. The town had already begun to evacuate as soon as people began to flee through their town. Godzilla was leaving flames and destruction behind him.

Asoka was amazed. She had seen pictures of Godzilla before, but this creature looked nothing like him. She had seen the pictures of his attack in 1954. Back then the creature had rounder head with a short nose. This Godzilla had a flatter head with a longer nose and more focused eyes. The old Godzilla has very short arms. This one seemed to have longer arms, they also seemed stronger. This Godzilla had a longer tail than the original, the dorsal fins on its back were alot more prominent and random than the monster that attacked Tokyo once before. The original monster stood erect, while this one seemed to lean forward. Finally this one was faster. It was noticably faster than the monster from the films she had seen.

June 6, 2004 10:00pm
Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan

"ATTENTION, ATTENTION. GODZILLA CAME ASHORE IN NEMURA. HE IS CURRENTLY IN KUSHIRO. AN EVACUATION ORDER IS UNDER WAY FOR THE CITIZENS OF OBIHIRO. THE GOVERNMENT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HAVE ASKED FOR CITIZENS TO EVACUATE TO SAPPORO." Loud speakers all over the small town of Obihiro rang out this message over the sirens that blared through the town.

The townspeople were fleeing. The power went out as the nuclear plant shut down its reactors in the hopes of detouring Godzilla. It was too late though. Godzilla had already sensed the reactor's presense and was heading directly for it.

Fires could be seen over the hills on the other side of the Tokachi River. Godzilla's dark figure could now be see in front of the glowing orange horizon. Obihiro was almost evacuated. Law enforcement was hoping for just a little more time. Within fifteen minutes, Godzilla's entire figure could be made out. As he made his way to the town, his thunderous footsteps caused tremors. Godzilla was now at the power plant. The plant was on the eastern side of the river and the town was on the west.

The hope was that Godzilla might go back after its "dinner". The attack was so sudden that the military hadn't had time to react. Their first defense against something like this had been put out of commision temporarly this morning fighting another beast.

Godzilla broke through the power lines that connected the plant. Barely fazed by the 300,000 volts that went through him, he continued on his destructive path. The monster immediatly found what he was looking for. Godzilla managed to locate the reactor. Now it was dinner time.

Chapter 7
G-Defense Headquaters--Strategy Room
June 7, 2004
8:00am

It had been a long night for the G-Defense crew. They had been monitoring Godzilla ever since his surprize attack on Nemuro and the Obihiro Nuclear Plant. Everyone in the base, including Mazaki and Asoka, were exhausted. At about 1:30am Godzilla had finally gone down the Tokachi River and out into the Pacific. The danger was far from over. Godzilla was still swimming slowly south along the coast of Japan. Every town on the east coast of the country was on high alert. The team was supposed to assemble here this morning to discuss their counterattack on Godzilla.

Finally the General walked into the room. General Togashi was a tall man with broad shoulders. He always kept the same look on his face, blank. One could never tell if he was mad or happy, joking or serious, or just plain unemotional. The room stood at attention when he walked in.

Masaki was invited to the meeting. He had been given exclusive rights to the story, unfortunatly, for now he was still being held. He could not send the story until it was all over. Asoka was also invited to the meeting. She was one of the cheif engineers of the Pera plant and also understood nuclear power. The upper brass felt she may be useful.

"At ease men." the general said in a sharp voice. "First, as you all know, Godzilla is still in the Pacific Ocean. He is currently heading south. We believe his next target to be Tokai. Tokai is home to the last remaining nuclear reactor in the country, that is why we think that is his next target. The northern fleet is following him. We believe the next action is to put the southern fleet into action. We plan to have the southern fleet intercept Godzilla and draw him to the surface. With cover fire from the two fleets, the White Eagle can move in and use whatever weapons neccessary to take Godzilla down. Sergeant Shindo will remain in the control room and Captain Willis from America will take over."

The General took a deep breath. The room was silent. Sergeant Shindo had only been put in the White Eagle temporarly until Captain Willis arrived from America.

"What about Doragah?" one of the White Eagle crew memebers asked.

"We can only handle one monster at a time." the general replied. "However, we don't know where it is, so we can't come up with any strategy. All I can say is that the White Eagle is fully repaired and the armor reinforced. We don't think the monster's ray would get through it again."

"Sir," Asoka rose from her chair, "last night I took careful study of Godzilla during the attack on Hokkaido, and I noticed that this creature was very different than the old pictures I've seen from 1954. Do you think this Godzilla is stronger than the last one?"

The general sighed, "Unfortunatly, I would have to say yes. This Godzilla wiped out the entire base at Ft. Kiska before they were able to contact us back in 1999. The old Godzilla wouldn't have been able to wipe the base out so quickly. Plus this one has the power of a nuclear sub and the Obihiro reactor behind him. But we did build the Eagle to stand up against this new Godzilla. I only hope and pray we got the calculations right."

Once again the room fell silent. The General stood once more and stated, "If there are no more questions, then you are dissmissed. Be ready for combat at 09:30. The Eagle takes off at 09:40 and the battle is scheduled to begin at 10:00."

Everyone in the room filed out quickly. Asoka and Masaki were the last to leave the room. Masaki turned to Asoka as they walked down the long hallway. "Do you think the Eagle has a chance against Godzilla?" he asked. Asoka didn't say anything for a few minutes. Then she replied with, "I only hope so, the fate of Japan and perhaps the world is in their hands."

09:50am
Latitude 38 N Longitude 141 W
Pacific Ocean
June 7, 2004

Admiral Kenzaki was starting to feel the effects of sleep deprivation. He hadn't slept at all the night before. Since 02:00 this morning they had been following Godzilla. He looked once again through his binoculars. There it was, the southern fleet. He gave the order to establish radio contact with them.

He heard a familiar voice come out over the radio, "This is the southern fleet. The battleship Kiro Maru leading the charge. Over." It was Admiral Kenzaki's old friend, Admiral Tories. The two had joined together and together they had climbed in the ranks. Since enlisting, they had enjoyed long periods of piece. That was about to change.

"Ready the torpedo tubes." Kenzaki gave the command. He had to act swiftly to try to get Godzilla to the surface. If he didn't then the monster would swim past the southern fleet, perhaps even destroy it, and the battle would already be lost. The torpedoes were ready. "Ready all weapons" the admiral commanded again. In unison all the cannons and missiles on board turned and faced one point.

"Fire torpedos, draw Godzilla to the surface." the General gave the command that started the battle. The torpedos sped from their tubes and headed directly for Godzilla. Direct hit! Godzilla was still underwater, but he had slowed down. Just then more torpedos hit him from the other direction. The southern fleet had also begun the attack. Godzilla's dorsal fins now appeared above the surface of the water. His head then came out, and with a mighty roar, Godzilla scanned the area for a sign of his new enemy. "Fire at will!" Admiral Kenzaki gave the order. Just then all of the cannons on the northern fleet openned fire. About one minute later the same happened on the southern fleet side. Godzilla let out another roar. Before he could close his mouth, a shell exploded in his mouth. Godzilla wailed out in pain and began to move about frantically. His movement cause waves that threatened to capsize the might ships of the Japanese Navy.

Another target began to approach the battlefield. There it was, The White Eagle. It was on target and on time. The battle was now ready to fully begin.

Chapter 8
June 7, 2004
10:00 am
Battle point G--Pacific Ocean

The Eagle moved in on its target, which was now wrapped in a cloud of smoke. Although the crew couldn't see much of Godzilla, the auto targeting system did. All weapons were armed and ready to fire. Rockets leaped into the air from two compartments on each wing of the craft. Before they struck their target, missiles shot out directly at Godzilla from two compartments on the front of each wing. The rockets began to rain down on Godzilla just as the missiles struck his hide. More rockets and missiles began to pour out of the Eagle.

Godzilla was enraged, he was being attacked from all sides it seemed, and the smoke was too thick for him to see his oponent. Lightening began to crackle along the three rows of random, jagged dorsal fins on the monster.

The Eagle's crew noticed emediatly that the monster was about to use his heat beam. "Firing Mazers" cried out the mazer control expert.

Two blue lazers shot out from the points on the edge of the wings and struck Godzilla stunning him before he could use his primary weapon. His tail slashed around in the water causing more waves. The endless barrage of artilary kept comming from the ships of the northern and southern fleets. For Godzilla it looked as if defeat was eminent.

Meanwhile........
100 miles east of Tokai
Pacific Ocean

The supply ship from the United States was on course. Expected to arrive in Tokyo Bay by the end of the day. They were well aware of the battle going on just to the north. They could even see large plumes of smoke over the horizon.

Captain Johnson was in charge. He was in the control room when the radar went off. Something large was approaching underwater. "Full speed ahead!" he commanded hoping to avoid a collision. He put his binoculars to his face to see what was comming. All he could see was some waves heading his way. Nothing that was dangering the ship, but whatever was underwater was causing it. It was headed due north, directly towards G-Battle point. As the underwater object passed along side the ship the Captain could make out a crest of three curved horns. Desperatly he attempted to contact anyone in the area of the battle.

Back at G-Battle Point

Godzilla had been fighting off his opponents for about an hour now. The twin mazer beams of the Eagle were firing continuously. The continous fire from one of the ships was interupted when they ran out of amunition. Godzilla was able to catch view of his opponent and unleashed as stream of blue fire directly at the ship. The Northern Fleet was down one ship. Godzilla turned and unleashed his beam at the other side and hit one of the ships in the back row of the Southern Fleet. The navy was able to recover their fire and confuse the monster again. Rockets and missiles again began to leap from the Eagle as it tried to recover the loss of the two ships.

Suddenly the last remaining ship on the back row of the southern fleet exploded, then one on the front row. Something was moving toward Godzilla and had just destroyed two ships on its way. Three curved horns rose from the ocean, followed by a head. Doragah had now joined the fight. Doragah let out a deep roar and charged Godzilla.

Admiral Kenzaki, not wanting to loose anymore men or ships ordered a full retreat. Doragah had spoiled the battle and it was too late to recover. Admiral Tories followed Kenzaki's example and decided to evacuate the battle and head for Sendai.

Godzilla was caught off guard and knocked into the ocean. The monster rose again to face his new attacker. Godzilla's fins crackled with blue lightening, but before he could fire his beam, Doragah reacted with his purple heat beam. Godzila was once again knocked off of his feet. Doragah tackled Godzilla and began to drain some of Godzilla's energy. The nuclear power began to flow through Doragah, it began to react with the Pera that was in his body. Two new appendages emerged from Doragah's back. As they grew they unfolded to reveil that they were wings. Doragah had now evovled for flight. The monster leaped into the sky and began to fly around the battefield. Godzilla was no where in sight. Doragah began a new course..........south...........towards Tokyo!

Chapter 9
Shinjuku District, Tokyo, Japan
12:01pm, June 7, 2004

The citizens of Shinjuku were going about their business as usual. The area in the business district was especially busy. The hustle and bustle of the recent events had not stopped or affected the crowd in Shinjuku.

The sun went behind the clouds. Through the darkness, people still carried on with their day. Chopper blades could now be heard coming closer and closer, louder and louder. The choppers could now be heard over the noise of the business district. The attention of the people was now on the approaching helicopters.

Suddenly, it got much darker in the business district. Something was coming. Something that the choppers were following was approaching them. It was Doragah. He was flying in from the Pacific Ocean where just an hour and a half ago, he managed to defeat Japan's greatest fear.

Doragah approached the twin skyscraper city hall complex in Shinjuku. He landed on the roof, perched there scoping out his prey. Doragah lowered his head and went into a deep sleep.

The monster had attacked Japan's largest city and was now endangering their capitol.

G-Defense Headquarters--Docking Bay

The White Eagle had just landed in the base. The crew was uneasy, there objective had been accomplished, but not totally. Godzilla was gone, but Doragah seemed to pose more of a threat than the King of the Monsters now

Just as the crew was starting to change their gear, the alarms went off. Doragah had landed in Tokyo. Japan's metropolitan and financial center was under attack. Unfortunately it would be another hour at the earliest before the eagle could be air bound again. The would just have to wait.

Seargent Shindo burst through the doors of the strategy room. At the front of the room, a large screen illuminated the image of Doragah on top of Shinjuku's City Hall complex. The monster was sleeping.

"We believe he is creating a store of energy." Shindo said, "he has found a building with access to a major part of Shinjuku's power grid. He is storing this energy. If he continues to gain strength, we stand no chance in defeating him."

"Damn it!" Captain Willis swore as he pushed the resentment of this creature further down into his mind. "First he hijacks my battle and defeats Godzilla, and uses the power he got from him against us." he exclaimed.

"Ok men," General Togashi tried to calm them down, "we must strike while he is sleeping. We will adjourn this and I will meet with the engineers and pilots of the Eagle and we will try to come up with a battle plan against the beast. "

Shinjuku City Hall Complex

9:00 pm

The sun had set for about an hour. A green glow could be seen surrounding the monster. The monster was absorbing the energy from the building. The Shinjuku district had been evacuated, the Chiyoda and Minato wards were now beginning to evacuate. It was decided to post pone the attack on Doragah until the area was evacuated. The monster was still asleep.

From atop a building on the edge of Shinjuku, a small G-Defense unit observed the monster from a distance, sending back the pictures of any breaking events in the zone. Only excitement today was when a large chunk of the sky scraper had fallen down to the streets below. No one was in the street at the time.

Masaki and Asoka were there. Masaki was there for the story he had been given rights too. Asoka was there to study the beast that she had discovered.

"Masaki," Asoka said hesitantly, "I just can't help thinking, all the lives that have been lost because of a stupid plant that I helped build, had helped finance. We knew of this creature before you came to our island. It had gotten lodged into our cooling system and had mutated. We freed it and figured it would die in the forest, it was severely injured. Then one day, one of the owners never returned from his trip to the dock. We found his jeep destroyed on the side of the road. Then the accidents started."

"You guys knew about Doragah?!" Masaki replied in shock.

"Not thoroughly," Asoka answered, "you see, the creature had always been about the size of an alligator when it attacked. When you were there was the first time I had ever seen it the size of a building."

Just then a convoy moved out on the streets below. They were heading out to make the final preparations for the attack. The top of the building was wired with booby traps. There was a tank and rocket battalion on the ground ready to confuse the monster after the traps went off. The White Eagle would then come in to finish the job.

The ground troops moved into position and were ready to attack. The White Eagle could be seen in the distance.

Captain Willis was ready to put this monster in its place, it had twice defeated his Eagle, once while he was on board. All of the weapons on the machine were armed and aimed at the monster he hated with a passion.

10:30pm

The two remaining ships of the Southern fleet were heading back to Yokosuka. They only had two ships left. They had three when they left the battlefield, but it one of them had sustained enough damage to sink later on the way back. The remaining crew of the ships was ready to be back at port for some well deserved rest.

The radar began reacting again. Something was moving toward them at great speed. The object was way too large to be a whale. Before anyone could react, the battleship in the rear was destroyed. Through the smoke and fire three rows of dorsal fins could be seen. Godzilla raised his head up from the watery depths, let out a menacing, deep, bell like roar. His fins began flash and fiery blue light burst from his mouth, destroying the last of the ships of the Southern Fleet. Now Godzilla was making a bee-line for Tokyo. His target straight ahead.

Meanwhile......
Back in Shinjuku

The attack was set to begin, just 5 seconds. To Masaki the seconds seemed like minutes. Finally the commander in charge pressed the button, explosions erupted all over the tops of the buildings. The chunks of buildings began to plummet to the streets below. The rockets from the ground troops launched at they're target, the shells exploded from the tanks and exploded all over the monster's hide.

The Eagle's weapons sprung into action. The rockets leaped from their compartments on the wings of the White Eagle. The missiles launched from the wings of the craft. Finally the Mazers on the tips of the wings sprung forth with blue light aimed at the monster.

Doragah cried out in pain. He had a wound just below his chest. Doragah let out another cry. The monster lifted from his perch and began to fly around the area. The fire stopped. None of the weapons could get a lock on the creature as he fly randomly through the skyscrapers.

10:45pm
Tokyo Bay

The three rows of fins had just crossed the Tokyo Wan Aqua Line. Godzilla was moving toward the Tokyo at great speed. The soldier near the bay saw what was approaching and began to contact his superior.

Chapter 10
June 7, 2004
10:47pm
Tokyo, Japan

"Godzilla has entered Tokyo Bay!!!!!" cried out the radio man. Everyone in the encampment on the rooftop turned their attention to the bay. Doragah had re landed on the spot he had come from, the now smoking remains of the City Hall complex.

Meanwhile...
G-Defense Headquaters--Strategy room

The room was silent as the first pictures of Godzilla marching ashore appeared on the big screen. Godzilla was heading for Shinagawa district. The giant continued on the its march toward the city.

Meanwhile...
All around the world.

TV's all over the world broadcast the awesome image. Godzilla, the monster that made history in 1954, had returned to Tokyo. Its image sent shivers down the spines of most who watched. Godzilla had changed. He seemed more commanding of respect and awe.

Tokyo Bay.

Godzilla continued on his march uninterrupted. The city had grown and recovered miraculously since the attack of the last Godzilla. Godzilla didn't even take time to observe his surroundings, he just headed directly toward his enemy.

Shinjuku

"Godzilla has landed at Shinagawa!" cried the radio man.

The Eagle commenced its attack on Doragah. They were well aware of Godzilla's presence in the city. Captain Willis wanted to finish Doragah before Godzilla could get there, then he would deal with the King of the Monsters. The monster was resisting everything the Eagle threw at it. Doragah let out a shrill scream. The monster seemed to be in pain, although the monster showed no sign of further injury.

Godzilla had turned since his historic landing in Shinagawa, he was now in Minato on a northwest course for Shinjuku. Godzilla let out another roar to challenge his foe. The buildings in Minato tumbled under the monster's weight. Explosions erupted all over the town. Godzilla slammed into an overpass. The shattered pieces of expressway plummeted to the ground. Godzilla had entered Shinjuku. He was now in range of the battle between the White Eagle and Doragah. The monster came to a stop and his roar echoed through the town.

The dorsal fins on Godzilla's began to flash with blue radiation. The blue heat beam sprung forth from the monster's mouth. First it struck the left wing of the Eagle. As the craft plummeted to the earth and struck a three story building, the beam continued on its path to the target. The beam first struck the base of the building and ran up toward the monster perched on the top of the building. Doragah managed to avoid the beam and took to the air. Godzilla looked around, he was confused, Doragah was flying circles around Godzilla. Before Godzilla could react Doragah dove down at him and slammed him into the ground. Godzilla destroyed 5 buildings on his way down to the ground.

The tremor went out through the town, shaking the building that Masaki, Asoka, and the G-Defense crew was based on. At first it seemed that the building would collapse. Masaki continued to get snap shots of the fight.

Godzilla struggled to his feet as Doragah came to a landing less than three blocks from the him. Godzilla charged the monster. The two grappled with each other. They fought in their deadlock for about five minutes before Godzilla locked his huge jaws into Doragah's flesh. Doragah cried out. The purple lightening danced along Doragah's horns. A purple and blue beam burst forth from Doragah's mouth. Godzilla was knocked back by the power of the beam of mixed Pera and Radiation. Godzilla crashed into a building shattering into pieces. Godzilla whipped his tail around. The tail struck Doragah knocking him to the ground. More and more buildings in the Shinjuku District kept on collapsing as the two titans kept knocking each other to the ground. Godzilla rose to meet Doragah's glare. The two monsters seemed to observed each other.

The crash had injured one of the pilots. Captain Willis was not about to give up. He gave the order for the components on the wing to be repaired. Weapon systems came back up. The Eagle would soon be airborne again.

Godzilla brushed off the rubble of the buildings he had just crushed with his weight. Again he charged Doragah, but before he could grab hold of the monster, Doragah leaped into the air. Godzilla searched the skies of Shinjuku for his prey but could not find it. Godzilla turned his head to find the monster hovering over a seven story business building. Godzilla fired his heat beam at the monster, this time striking him. Doragah was forced to the ground again. Suddenly two more blue beams fired at him. These came from the White Eagle. Captain Willis was now flying solo, his co-pilot was unable to operate the craft anymore due to his injury. The mazers continued to fire at Doragah. Another purple an blue heat beam was released from the smoke and fire. Godzilla studied the Eagle, he recognized his former enemy, but seemed uninterested in it. Instead he headed for the monster lying on the ground in pain. Godzilla grabbed him by the tail and flung him with all his might, slamming him into another building. Godzilla let out another roar that echoed through the smashed concrete. Doragah emerged from the rubble of the building he had just smashed and attacked Godzilla with greater speed than before. He managed to pin Godzilla to the ground.

"Godzilla is down sir!" the radio operator announced in the White Eagle.

"Ok, we've got to cover Godzilla," Captain Willis decided, "Doragah is now the greater enemy. We will have time to get rid of Godzilla after Doragah has been defeated."

Doragah still had Godzilla pinned to the ground. He began to absorb more radiation from the monster. With a burst of energy, Godzilla's heat beam burst forth again and tore directly through Doragah's wing. Another shrill cry came from the Pera mutant.

"For some reason, Doragah finds sustenance in Godzilla's radiation as well as Pera." Asoka was noticing how this monster seemed to adapt itself to any power source available.

Godzilla's eyes rolled into the back of his head. He had lost conscienceness. Doragah had become extremely annoyed at the continuous fire from the White Eagle. The monster leaped into the sky again and began to pursue the Eagle. Captain Willis began to make his escape. He had opened all the rockets on the craft. The rockets on the wings launched and struck Doragah. Captain Willis decided to face the monster. In a bold move that surprised the whole crew, he spun the craft around and headed directly for the monster.

Captain Willis gave the order, "FIRE ALL WEAPONS!!!!!"

All the weapons launched from the White Eagle simultaneously. The monster was driven to the ground by the constant barrage. The creature huddled until its beam was charged up. When it was at full power he let it loose and struck the White Eagle dead on. The systems in the military's greatest achievement began to shut down one by one. Fire erupted all over the Eagle, pieces exploded as it plummeted to the ground. The Eagle struck a building. It took out an entire city block of Shinjuku as it crashed to the ground.

Meanwhile...
G-Defense Headquaters-Strategy Room

"THE WHITE EAGLE HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!!!!!!!" the hysterical voice rang out over the intercom.

The crew in the strategy room was stunned as they watched the burning heap in Shinjuku.

"Doragah's position unchanged!" the voice rang out again.

"It seems it has sustained injury," Shindo said to General Togashi, "unfortunately, our last hope is Godzilla."

The General didn't seem to react to the Sergent's statement.

"Godzilla is still unconscious!" the voice over the speaker continued.

Meanwhile...
Back in Shinjuku

A hatch on the burning remains of the White Eagle opened. Captain Willis emerged carrying the injured co-pilot over his shoulder. He was followed by the weapon's specialist and the mazer expert. Doragah had moved back toward Godzilla.

Doragah was now over Godzilla again, attempting to drain Godzilla of what little energy he had left. Godzilla was awoken by Doragah's attack and let out cries of pain. Blindly Godzilla began to struggle. His claws finally connected with the wound on Doragah's chest. Godzilla began to feel Doragah's mix of Pera and Nuclear energy flow through him. Godzilla was becoming re energized with a power he had not known before. Godzilla retaliated with his blue heat beam. Doragah was thrown back into one of the few remaining skyscrapers in the Shinjuku District. This time his other wing was blown apart.

Bright flashes emerged from many parts of Godzilla's body. Fires had begun to erupt all around Godzilla, the heat had become immense.

"Whats goin on?" cried Masaki as he took pictures of the events going on.

"Godzilla's body is adapting to the Pera and Radiation mix that he's just absorbed." Asoka replied.

The crew of the White Eagle was struggling to get to cover in the rubble of Shinjuku. Captain Willis realized that Godzilla was about to unleash his new power and he did not want to be out in the open when he did it.

Godzilla's spine began to glow a red color. A red and purple heat beam burst forth from his mouth. Areas untouched by the beam exploded all around the area. The beam struck Doragah. Pieces of the monster's flesh began to fall off. Godzilla fired his beam again, this time he finished Doragah. The battle ended with a bright red explosion that could be seen as far as Yokosuka. Windows in Shinjuku, Minato, Rapongi, and Shinagawa districts burst.

The crew on the rooftop in Shinjuku had taken cover when Godzilla began to power up. The explosion ripped through the remains of Shinjuku. It took about fifteen minutes for the smoke to clear. When it did, the whole district was on fire. Amongst the flames, one lone figure stood. Godzilla stood there. He almost seemed amazed at the power he had just exerted on his foe. Godzilla's roar echoed throughout the city. Over and over again Godzilla released his roar of triumph. Soon, Godzilla realized his fight was over. He began to make his way back out into the ocean.

Back at G-Defense Headquarters

"I want the surveyor satellite to lock on and track Godzilla." General Togashi commanded.

The General watched as Godzilla made his way back through the Minato and Shinagawa districts, destroying everything in his path. Explosions and fire erupted, and Godzilla merely roared and continued on his path. Soon Godzilla was back in Tokyo Bay. The crew in the Strategy room watched as Godzilla's head disappeared below the waves, leaving the crew wondering where he was going, and when and where would he return.

Epilogue

Masaki release a few details in his article for the Shinbu Star. He kept the good pictures and details saved for his book, "The Return of Godzilla: A New Age of Kaiju". His book became a best seller, and he never had to worry about having the editor turn down his stories again.

Asoka went on to aid Masaki with the technical details of Doragah, Godzilla, Pera , and Nuclear Energy. She also went on to study and develop the designs of Pera plants to make them even more efficient, and to get rid of the flaws in their systems such as those from the Mikura facility.

Captain Willis was repremanded for his careless opperation of the White Eagle. He was reassigned because he had let his emotions take priority over his objective at hand.

Seargent Shindo was commisioned to build a new weapon to be ready for another attack from Godzilla. This one would be unlike any other weapon to be built.

Godzilla had returned to the Pacific Ocean. He had headed directly south, as he moved deeper into the ocean trenches, the signail from the Surveyor Satalite had gotten weaker and weaker. Finally the Surveyor Satalite lost the target. Godzilla was at large, but was much to tired to wage an attack anywhere for a while.

This is my first story that I wrote. It is part one of a trilogy that I am writing the final part for right now. I feel this is my weakest story, but I feel my second is much better. Once I get some more time I'll post the second one.
