I must admit, I am a huge MST fan. Some say the worst movie featured on there is "Manos" The hands of Fate. However, as bad as that movie is, I feel that "Monster a Go Go" has to be a definite worst.

Since MST was canceled, Mike Nelson, Bill Corbet (Sci Fi Crow), and Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo) have gone to work at Rifftrax where they riff on blockbusters like Titanic, Twilight and so on.

Joel Hodgeson has since started a self funded project called Cinematic Titanic with Trace Beaulieu (Dr. Forester and original Crow), J. Elvis Weinstein (original Servo and Dr. Erhardt), Mary Jo Pehl (Pearl Forester),and Frank Coniff (TV's Frank). They have released a few DVDs but have mostly concentrated on their live shows.

So any other fans here?

I am a fan of this show but admittedly I haven't watched any eps in a long time. I wonder if The Mighty Gorga(1969) or A*P*E(1976) ever made it onto MST3000. Other atrocious schlockers that might have made for an ep of this series: The Beast Of Yucca Flats and Robot Monster. CrowT1

Beast of Yucca Flats was season 6 and Robot Monster was season one.
Is is just me or do Coleman Francis movies actually give you second hand depression lol.

The other movies you mentioned were never on the show.

Plan 9 from Outer Space was never on the show because Joel always said there was too much narration. However, Plan 9 has been riffed on DVD by Rifftrax and it was done live in theaters two months ago by the Rifftrax gang.

Rifftrax has also launched a fan riffing project called iRiffs.

FYI, the Quicktrax for Godzilla (1998) is hilarious. I highly recommend it.

Here's the Monster A Go Go episode.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7760384428690423476&ei=YQTpSvrIIJLiqgL7wsHyBg&q=monster+a+go+go#

Monster a Go Go is actually like two movies in one. Bill Rebane started making the movie in 1961. Half way though he ran out of money to complete it. In 1965 another director picked it up because he needed another movie for a double bill. He couldn't get most of the actors to come back for completion and the ones he could get had changed their look so dramatically they had to play completely different roles. So halfway through the movie, all of the characters change.

I'm afraid to say that i'm not a fan.

I dislike the show for two reasons:
1. When it comes to the original movies, i noticed that many people have based their STRONG opinions, not on the original films, but the MST3K versions. This isn't right.
2. The made fun of one of my favorite movies: "The Killer Shrews" (1959)

Although, i must admit that i'm interested in seeing their commentry on the horrible 1998 remake of Godzilla. winky

I have to disagree with your first point. I think some of the movies seen on MST have been given a second life because of the show. There are many people who consider some of the movies decent enough to watch by themselves. (Tormented, Bloodlust, Godzilla, Gamera, etc.) I definitely know without the show I would never have seen The Killer Shrews, Monster a Go Go, or even know the names Bert I. Gordon, Robert Lippert, Ray Dennis Steckler, Arch Hall Jr., or some others. There are very few of the movies featured that fans really loathe. In fact the lone exception I've seen was the bad German version of Hamlet that was shown on the show. As for Ray Kellogg's films (Killer Shrews, The Giant Gila Monster) could have been soooo much better if they would have used a boom mike, or at least take the microphones out of the box before trying to use them.

Here's the Quiptracks for Godzilla (1998). The track is only $2.99. It's an MP3 that you play on your computer in synch with the movie on your dvd player. Very funny.

Ray Kellogg directed Killer Shrews and the audio is so bad on those movies because they obviously didn't use a boom microphone. You can hardly hear what they are saying in both his films The Killer Shrews and The Giant Gila Monster.

Not in the versions I saw. It sounds like the mic was attached to the camera and all you hear is the echo on top of the dialogue.

I have all of them on DVD including the Godzilla eps.
Have you seen the Godzilla eps packmule?
Have you noticed they seem to treat Godzilla with a certain respect while he is on screen?

"Gamera is really neat,
he is filled with turtle meat
We've been eating Gam-er-ra!!!!"
