Spring has arrived and with it warmer temps! We're going to see some marvelous new films released in 2013 (IRON MAN 3 and PACIFIC RIM) as well as many terrific classic films finally released to Blu Ray including GORGO(1961) and LIFEFORCE(1985)! Our online community isn't the largest on the web but I think it's the best group with which to discuss all the movies I love to watch and also talk about other shared interests! For those of you checking out this message board for the first time give our forums a look: I think you'll like what you see!

The "Resistance" series; Insomniacs great Sci Fi Action FPS

 I recently bought a PS3. I love FPS, So I bought mostly those. I got Bioshock(of Course). And Resistance Fall of Man, A game I had heard alot of good things on.
From what I played, I wasn't too happy with the controls, and difficulty. But after a few days I got more into the story, many Strains of Chimera(Spelling Erroe?) and the Call of Duty/Aliens feel too it. As far as I have gotten its a very very fun title. As of now its the most enjoyable game on the PS3.
Resistance 2 was realesed in 2008, and I have never played this one yet. Heard its better then Fall of Man, and will definetly be checking that one out.
Then there was Retribution but I don't have a PSP, there is alot of things I am lacking.

Anyway, this topic is for fans of the series, to talk about rumors, favorite Games of the series, etc.

 I've beaten the first Resistance and I own the 2nd but haven't gotten a chance to really get into it yet. I can say the first Resistance was great. The campaign was long and fulfilling, the Chimera guns are awesome and alot of fun to use, and the multiplayer was alot of fun. I don't have anything bad to say about the game.

Did it seem too hard at first? I thought so. It's a tough and fairly long single player campaign but I kept the difficulty on Normal and pushed through it. It got to be pretty enjoyable once I knew how to use the Chimera weapons effectively.

I feel the same way, I almost gave up on it, and started to hate it. But as it kept going it slowly got better until now where I love it. A very enjoyable experience.

I was plaing the demo of Resistance: Fall of Man; I was like damn it!!! the entire time but once I got use to the games functions it was one of the bast games I got into in a long time. I was never into FPS but this was goog.

 True but atleast they announced it after 3 years. I wonder if it took them 3 years to write a good story line?

Retribution is a pretty good PSP game. I am by no means a fan of shooters, but Resistance has a certain appeal, even to me, so when I heard there was a game coming to the PSP, I kept tabs on it and liked what they were doing. There's an auto-aim feature that gets around having only one analog stick, but unless you're a hardcore-shooter veteran, the game is still pretty challenging. ESPECIALLY in the last couple of levels. I've had this game for over a year (almost since it was released) and I'm STILL stuck on the freakin' elevator of death.

I don't want Insomniac to go multi-platform because they are what makes Sony unique from Nintendo and Microsoft; Sony has Insomniac, Nintendo has Mario/Pokemon and Microsoft has Halo. sadlyicon

Sony has really lost some great exclusives this generation.
Yes they did but you have a point, if you need money to maintain quality. You also have to figure Insomniac spends 2 years on each of their games (besides Resistance 3) and that starts to add up after a while. It would be nice for them to branch out in the gaming community but if they do that they could lose quality in their 2 great series; I already think that Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One wont be too good.
