Spring has arrived and with it warmer temps! We're going to see some marvelous new films released in 2013 (IRON MAN 3 and PACIFIC RIM) as well as many terrific classic films finally released to Blu Ray including GORGO(1961) and LIFEFORCE(1985)! Our online community isn't the largest on the web but I think it's the best group with which to discuss all the movies I love to watch and also talk about other shared interests! For those of you checking out this message board for the first time give our forums a look: I think you'll like what you see!

This thread is primarily for the discussion of anything related to Little Shop of Horrors, but obviously the hot topic at the time of this posting is evidence that the elusive "Intended Cut" of the 1986 musical may finally see the light of day.

The above link goes into a little more detail, but for those who don't know, the original ending for the musical was incredibly different from the theatrical release. An unfinished working print of this ending can be found on Youtube, but now it seems that the completed footage will at last be available in "Little Shop of Horrors: The Intended Cut," reportedly due out this Halloween.

Kaiju fans rejoice, the final scenes involve several gigantic plants ripping through New York.

There were a few other scenes cut from the film, including several verses of some musical numbers, that would support the tone of this ending, but the test audience didn't like the unhappy ending, so the movie was changed to what we got in the theatrical release. Some of this other footage will likely make it's way into this cut.

There is quite a bit of debate among fans over which ending suits the movie better, but at least now we'll get to see the movie as the director had envisioned. thumbz up

This is awesome news! Confirmation that the disc will include both the theatrical version and the director's cut complete with the Alternate Ending! And a DigiBook!

Pre-ordering is something I haven't done before, not for anything, but honestly I'm so hyped for this that I'm placing an order as soon as Amazon lists it.
