"Hear me, my peace-drunk brethren! You are being led astray by your weak and frail leader Queenchief Nuria. She colludes with the ponies to declaw you, to dull your fangs! Long ago the Kirin struck fear into any country touching the sea! We were rulers of bloodied coin and had respect! but now, now the ponies, the weak cowardly ponies try to take away your culture! They deny us our heritage! Join me! join me and I'll show you the true path to power! Through blood! Carnage and gold! I defeated your 'queen' in single battle... She has failed you and grown soft with her 'peace.' a lapdog for her Equestrian masters! It is time for the Kirin to return to the forefront, through fire and blood!"- The Warlord Ashwrath gave this recuitment speech in the kirin city of Aeros with a retinue of strange uniform looking kirin. Many are worried of the violence to come and are already petitioning Equestria to intervene.

| Welcome to Multa Saecula. A set of worlds aside from just Equestria itself. Many generations ago, the plane that housed Equestria; Terra, created magical portals to other dimensions. These dimensions are Lux, a land rich with magic, yet constantly under threat from the same. And Tenebris, a dark plane where only the strong and willful survive.
These realms have existed together peacefully so far, commencing in trading, the sharing of culture, and immigration. Though their political views are much different than that of Terra, they find a way to coexist, sometimes reluctantly. Walk into this set of worlds and discover what adventure, romance, or tragedy, awaits you.

Bladecasting at its core is the weaponization of a pony’s special talent. That doesn’t mean to say using one's talent in an offensive sense but literally creating a weapon, in this case a sword, that harnesses their special talent.
The weapon created is semi-sentient and called a spell blade when finished.. Its able to convey emotions through bursts of magic, the user that built it also has a intrinsic feeling as to what the blade is trying to communicate. The blade’s personality is entirely dependant on the mental state of its creator at the time of its creation. If a knight fanatical about justice were to make a sword like this, the sword would only allow users who had that same devotion to justice wield it. Only one Bladecaster sword can be attuned to a unicorn at any time, and that link can only be broken by death, or a mental shift of the user. Alicorns have a unique aspect to their blades, that they’re made of magic as opposed to metal.
These swords need to be made by materials that are superconductive to magic. More so than steel. Otherwise these blades would only be fancy magic swords as opposed to the partners they’re meant to be. Unfortunately, these metals are usually not good sword metals. For example: Platinum is an excellent conductor of magic. However, platinum cannot hold an edge, and it is nearly twice as heavy as iron and deforms easily. The solution was very expensive alloys being created to make this less of an issue. Platinum-Iridium blades was a popular alloy to make these blades from, subtle enchantments that could lighten these weapons were required.
These Spell Blades all shared a defining characteristic, they split. Anywhere from four to twenty blade pieces, all dependant on the user’s aptitude in telekinesis. The load on a unicorn’s magic per piece is increased multiplicatively, as each piece would require the same amount of focus as the whole sword. Imagine trying to talk with one person in the heat of combat, now make it so you’re trying to talk with ten at the same time.
This had the unintended side effect of having only the most determined and sure-minded warriors wield these weapons. Unfortunately, in modern times with the need for war almost nonexistent the use and practice of bladecasting has fallen into such heavy disuse that the art is really only kept alive by a handful of hobbyists, and their skill is mediocre at best. It is a rare thing to find a unicorn proficient enough to teach these skills at a practical combat level.
The term spellblade is quite literal. When drawn, the user must say its name while feeding magic into the weapon. To do otherwise would just result in an inactive magic weapon. When not in use the intelligence housed within the blade is dormant, saying its name while feeding it magic causes it to "Wake up." The blade will stay active when sheathed, thus deactivating the spell, or when the unicorn has exhausted their magic reserves.
It is still possible to find old spellblades, long dormant, awaiting a unicorn with enough conviction to wield it once again.
Famous Bladecasters of The Recent Past.
Sir Solaris Strike of House Castor(Deceased)- Brightroar, a ten piece spellblade that amplified light and fire magic.
Coeur Greystone(Deceased): Alarune, Fourteen piece spellblade focused on the physical aspects of sword fighting.
Archon(Deceased)- Eclipse, twenty piece spellblade uniquely enchanted to be an offensive nightmare during the day and a steady defensive wall at night.

Princess Celestia- Zenith, A spellblade made entirely of sunfire. A pure manifestation of inferno magic
Princess Luna- Nadir, A spellblade made of moonlight, incredibly fast and nearly invisible.
