"Hear me, my peace-drunk brethren! You are being led astray by your weak and frail leader Queenchief Nuria. She colludes with the ponies to declaw you, to dull your fangs! Long ago the Kirin struck fear into any country touching the sea! We were rulers of bloodied coin and had respect! but now, now the ponies, the weak cowardly ponies try to take away your culture! They deny us our heritage! Join me! join me and I'll show you the true path to power! Through blood! Carnage and gold! I defeated your 'queen' in single battle... She has failed you and grown soft with her 'peace.' a lapdog for her Equestrian masters! It is time for the Kirin to return to the forefront, through fire and blood!"- The Warlord Ashwrath gave this recuitment speech in the kirin city of Aeros with a retinue of strange uniform looking kirin. Many are worried of the violence to come and are already petitioning Equestria to intervene.

| Welcome to Multa Saecula. A set of worlds aside from just Equestria itself. Many generations ago, the plane that housed Equestria; Terra, created magical portals to other dimensions. These dimensions are Lux, a land rich with magic, yet constantly under threat from the same. And Tenebris, a dark plane where only the strong and willful survive.
These realms have existed together peacefully so far, commencing in trading, the sharing of culture, and immigration. Though their political views are much different than that of Terra, they find a way to coexist, sometimes reluctantly. Walk into this set of worlds and discover what adventure, romance, or tragedy, awaits you.

In here, we will be talking about the races that roam the planes.
Pony Ponies are the most well-known in Terra. In general, ponies are very persistent and adaptable creatures. They are quite resourceful: anywhere you could theoretically survive, they will call home, be it scorching desert, barren tundras or wild jungles.
There are three kinds of pony: Earth ponies, Pegasi and Unicorns. Earth ponies are the ones without either wing or horn. Their innate magic involves a strong connection to nature: they can listen to both flora and fauna. This comes in very handy in farm work especially: they can encourage the growth of plans. They cannot control any of nature, though, unless it’s their special talent. But that’ll depend on the pony. Aside from that, they are stronger and more enduring than other races.
Second are the pegasi. These winged creatures are all about the weather: they can control the wind, the clouds; they can call up rain- and thunderstorms; and most importantly: they can fly. They are able to walk on clouds - something earth ponies and unicorns can’t do without help of magic spells - and, according to some, aren’t bothered as much by cold. They aren’t as strong as earth ponies, but they’re light and quite tough. In general, they prefer open spaces where they can be free.
Third, last but not least, are the unicorns. Unicorn aren’t as strong or nature-bound as earth ponies, nor can they fly or control the weather like pegasi. Instead of innate magic, they have the ability to actually control it. They can use spells; the range of those spells will depend on their special talent, but any unicorn will have at least levitation - telekinesis - and the ability to light up their horn, providing a very handy flashlight or nightlight. Spells outside their spell range can still be taught, but it will require a lot more effort.
Griffins The griffins are a quite proud race. Traditionally, they have the front of an eagle and the back of a lion, but it could be any bird of prey. The head, chest, and wings are the bird-part and the back is that of a lion. They don’t have hooves, but talons in front and their back legs are that of a lion.
The Griffin - or Gryphon - is a proud, majestic creature, with a bit of greed in them. Not as bad as a dragon’s greed, but still. Furthermore, they are great, honorable warriors. They are also great hunters and fishers, but they can also work on the farm for sustenance. The griffins are omnivores. Griffins mostly live in large communities, or flocks, but it isn’t uncommon to see griffins alone or with another species.
Zebra Zebras are a mysterious race. They aren’t unlike earth ponies: they are white with black stripes, and their manes are thick and stand upright. The pattern varies from zebra to zebra. They also get cutie marks, or glyph marks, as some may call them. The difference from pony-cutie marks is, that glyph marks are mostly only black-and-white, but again, this varies from zebra to zebra.
They are originally from the savannas of Zebrica, but now they live in decently sized cities around the country. Some travelled to the mainland of Equestria, others stayed at home. The zebras - especially their shamans - have a special connection to the spiritual world. How they form the connection is a Zebra trade secret, but at least we do know it’s not through Unicorn-like magical spells. Zebra’s have their very own innate magic which isn’t truly understood, even today, and might be the cause for some misunderstandings.
Diamond Dogs The Diamond Dogs are a rough race. As the name suggests, they are sapient dogs; even though they seem dimwitted, they are strong and excellent miners. Diamond Dogs really like shiny objects, like gems or minerals, and know their value and how to handle them. They are mostly carnivores. They prefer to stay underground, they make their homes there, but they will come to the surface to trade with other races. They are generally not very well-mannered.
Dragons Dragons are a quite greedy race. You really don’t want to steal from their treasure. They grow larger and larger the greedier they get. However, if you actually get to talk to the older, bigger dragons, you will find that some are quite wise, mostly because of age. Their scales are strong and can deflect any kind of magic, and are fireproof. They can breathe fire; the fire of some of the dragons can be magical. They live for a long time and grow very old. The oldest dragon is so old, he was alive when Equestria was founded! But not all dragons grow that old. Dragons mostly stick together in small groups, but it is more common for dragons to go out alone.
Kirin The Kirin of Terra are most commonly identified by their coat of scales and long manes that run down their backs to the end of their reptilian tails, as well as sharp claws and teeth. While technically a race of their own, they are actually evolved from a branch of Pegasi that separated from the Pegasus Tribe before the founding of Equestria. Like their Pegasus, they sport a multitude of color palettes and patterns, as well as feathered wings. Unlike Pegasi, however, the Kirin have long lost the ability to manipulate the weather, learning to live closer to the ground in the wildlands.
They grow heads above their cousins, a warrior culture hardening their bodies and giving them much more mass. They also do not gain anything resembling a cutie-mark, though sometimes they may paint on marks for ceremonial purposes. In place of weather manipulation, that bit of magic was repurposed to give them the ability to breath fire. Along with all of this, they live in a country almost entirely populated by dragons of many types, some of which they use to aid with labor.
Noctals and Thestrals Often referred to as simply “batponies”, these equine creatures use leathery bat-like wings to carry them across the skies of their homeland. These creatures are different from Luna’s guard in that they are biologically born this way as opposed to changed through magic like the guard.
Noctals are herbivorous, and technologically advanced in their own ways, building tall spires for cities that even dig deep into the ground. They are also the most controversial race among all, for their questionable moral standing with their neighbors, the Thestrals. They have built an economy run in part by slave labor, using the Thestrals as workers in various jobs without pay. They are also the only working aristocracy, with the wealthy making many of the political policies and decisions.
The Thestrals, unlike their neighbors, are entirely carnivorous and live in tribal societies in the dense forests of Tenebris. They adorn themselves at a young age with tattoos that decorate nearly the entirety of their bodies, marking both achievement and tribe of origin. They are larger and stronger than Noctals, but their lack of technological advancement and admittedly lesser mental ability made it easy for the Noctals to take them over many generations ago. But they are not dull by any means; quick witted in survival and skills requiring instinctive action over thought. Their communities are closely knit and everyone shares everything for the benefit of their survival. This mindset even extends to their own personal beings for the purposes of mating, as they are constantly hunted to keep them from growing too large in number.
Autarchs and The Banished At first glance autarchs would appear to simply be taller unicorns, nearly the height of the Alicorns of Equestria. However, what they truly are is a highly evolved version. Their horns more easily control magical energies, their bodies act as an extra battery of sorts, being able to store vast amounts of magical energy, causing their coat and manes to glow and become ethereal. autarchs are a proud race, and covet perfection of their chosen craft. This is so entrenched in their society that duels take place to determine ones standing. Only the strongest lead, but anyone can be a contender.
In ancient times, the fledgling Autarch society punished the most heinous of crimes with banishment. Because the wastes of Lux were so volatile and deadly, Autarchs found guilty of certain crimes were sent out into the wstes without food, water or tools. In modern times, these 'banished' have mutated and changed from their Autarchi cousins. They're smaller, more muscular and feral. They inhabit the many caves that dot the landscape and have formed tribes. These Banished are sentient although they're act more like wild animals than civilized society. Because of this the Autarchs have merely kept away from the banished, safe in their domed cities.

Interspecies Breeding (Because you asked for it.)
It has been ruled that pretty much any race can mix with any other race. The exceptions to these rules are Dragons, unintelligent species, and anything not considered naturally living.
Mixed Breed Characters While the world of Multa Saecula is home to many species, most of which intermingle in at least some capacity, hybrids are a special case. Hybrids are not acceptional in any one aspect, but they are average in many. For example, the offspring of a kirin and a unicorn would neither be incredibly strong, or a very good caster of spells. However, they would be naturally stronger physically than most unicorns, and the little bit of magic they would get to use would give them a unique edge against a kirin.
Hybrids are not good for specialty, however they can excell at utility, capable of doing things that one of their parents cannot, but not exceeding them in skill at what the parent can do.
Please note the social impacts this would have on the characte as well. A thestral-noctal hybrid would not be very well accepted in Noctal society. Likewise, a kirin hybrid would not recieve the same respect as a purebred kirin in Dracotalon. These things can, while being a limit to the character in a sense, make things flavorful and fun if done correctly.
Addendum: characters may not be created with both horn and wings. You must choose one or the other. Or neither.
