Character: Whirl Date: March 31st Time: 6pm-ish Place: Main Utopia Island, random big room with a fireplace It felt weird. Sometime during the course of the day the whole island had felt more and more weird and Katrina couldn’t hold herself still. The weird feeling was familiar, but she couldn’t place it, her thoughts more scattered than normal and growing even more scattered as the day progressed. She had done some ‘sweeping’ earlier before her energy levels had risen to the point where she’d gone fishing, using a self-made water spout to suck fish right out of the ocean and deposit with the other catches. And then she’d actually sat down and fidgeted while cleaning the damn things just to have something to do… Which left her smelling funky and then she’d dove into the ocean for a swim as soon as she’d packed away her catch in one of the freezers and cleaned her gutting and skinning tools. The swim hadn’t helped either. It also didn’t help that she’d consumed probably her weight in fish, fries, cookie dough, and cupcakes either. Her increasing nervous energy was blowing through the calories as fast as she cram them into her mouth and still she’d made a tour of all the Utopian Islands before returning to ‘sweep’ the rest of the main building… And now here she was, looking at the filthy fireplace while holding a bucket filled with the heads of sturdy, wire bottlebrushes. Having forsaken clothing several hours before, she didn’t even have to hesitate before dumping the brushes out and letting her molecules rip to shreds. Wrapping around the brush heads, she yanked them all after her, whipping them through the cyclone of her self as she seemed to fly up into the chimney. A veritable avalanche of ash and soot poured down and out of the chimney as the metal brushes scoured the interior clean. She wasn’t picking that up yet, focusing instead on keeping the brushes within her vortex and scouring them against the walls inside the chimney. It wasn’t until she emerged from the top of the chimney and then reversed to scour back down that she finally decided she’d done good. She stopped her whirling around, letting the brushes hit the grate in the bottom of the fireplace before she pulled herself back together. Katrina was filthy, covered from head to toe in soot and ash as she picked up each brush individually and dropped them into the bucket. Then she looked around, head tilting as she observed the room around her. “Good thing I remembered to put down some dust cloths on the furniture.” She picked up a broom and started sweeping the worst of the mess into a pile that would make it a lot easier to pick up when she split into another vortex.
