 The North Pacific's Guestbook Where the Democracy is Strong, the Debate Robust, and the Rum Plentiful. As you can tell from the rather over-sized flag at the top of this guestbook, this is the North Pacific's guestbook for the NationStates World Fair 2015. Or maybe you couldn't, because you didn't recognize our new coat-of-arms. Ain't it shiny? Personally, I like it better than the old one. But you might disagree - I know for a fact at least one of you does. And hey! If you do disagree, this is the thread for you! This is the thread where, instead of a signature, you get to introduce yourself, and how much you love or hate our new flag and coat of arms. If we're introducing ourselves, I should probably start - as should the North Pacific. The North Pacific is a GCR - game-created region. A bunch of you may have been founded here, actually. And I am TGR - the Grim Reaper. Gone by Vortiaganica in the past, too. I was (very, very) recently appointed as TNP's new Minister of Culture, a role which fits well with my focus on TNP's RP scene, a growing part of our region's community. In the past few weeks, we've seen the rise of radical changes to TNP's RP politics, with the creation of a new bloc to oppose the all-powerful North Pacific Treaty Organization - the Novrith Pact. The civil war that has gripped McMasterdonia, the historic home of the largest Empire to have ever graced the North Pacific, and the civil war that simultaneously held down the modern diplomatic heavy-weight of Guslantis, have changed the rules of the game, splitting the East and West. I've got a travel-guide about TNP, if you want to know more, actually. Just published it - you can get TGR's Top TNP Travel Tips at... well, just that one place. Of course, RP isn't the only thing TNP has. Our region has plenty of other opportunities to contribute! Perhaps you've heard, from the old-timers among you, about TNP's...er...creativity, when it comes to string laws together to make a legal code. But give it some slack, cause it's pretty fly for an NS regional legislature. I mean, look, that coat of arms at the top up there was a design by committee, thanks to the hard work of our Regional Assembly! Now, not everyone is cut out for TNP legislation, but you never know until you try, which is why we've put together a TNP Legislation Simulator - Corrupt a Law. It's like a sports simulator, but with modding support, and maybe slightly worse graphics. Hopefully, a few more of our loyal citizens will be popping in over the fair to introduce themselves. But if you're looking to catch the big fish, you need to put in some effort yourself. So get a bucket of bait and lay in wait for the catch that probably can't be taken across state borders, and leave a question for our delegate, Astarial. Or Silly String. Not sure which, might be worth asking her yourself at Ask Asta Anything. Maybe you're looking for a slightly more...saucy fish. A French one. If that's the case, maybe you'd rather try and Ask Pauline Bonaparte Anything. But yes, without further ado, shall we start school? I'm up for hearing a bit more about you all, and I wish to pose a question. How do you feel about our new flag, and the coat of arms on it? Go ahead, post riggghtt here, in this very thread. While you're at it, tell us where you came from, and where you're planning to go. What's your favourite booth (besides this one, and your own)? You looking forward to (or coming from) a particular lecture? Maybe you're a lecturer yourself, in which case, I'm sure a little teaser would be fun. And if you can't think of anything to say about yourself just at the moment, I'm told we have a pair of quizzes in this booth that might help you think of something to say ;).
