Calling out to members who knows both Nihongo and Korean!

Posted by Jingfang (27th JSS EXCO) at Nov 11 2009, 10:13 AM. 0 comments

Hi all,

This is yet another job advertisement - this time the employers are looking for people who can understand both Japanese and Korean to help them in some simple translation, the job scope is listed below and its a pretty lucrative job so for any of you who can fulfill the requirements. do contact Mr. Sebastian Tan (see contact person details at the end), or at least introduce this job to any of your friends whom you think might be interested :)

Thanks,
Jingfang

Jobscope:

Employer is looking for students who are proficient in either (or both)
Japanese and Korean language to do some translation work for us. We will
show them some e-mails and documents in both the Japanese and Korean
language and we need them to tell us what the (brief) contents are. In
other words, my staff would sit together with them to take down notes
and therefore the students are not required to do word-for-word
translation.

The work will start in early Dec 09 (after their exams) and is expected
to last about 2 - 3 weeks. We would need them to come in during normal
office
hours only on weekdays and not on weekends and public holidays. We are
paying an hourly rate of between $9 to $12 depending on their
proficiency
level.

Freshmen Orientation Camp 2009

As most of you already know, our annual Freshman Orientation Camp will be held from 7th of July to the 10th.

We are still accepting freshmen signups and we still welcome seniors to come participate as helpers/councillors =D

The venue was originally Pasir Ris PA Flats but as of 18 June 2009, the Government has activated the People’s Association (PA) Pasir Ris Holiday Complex as a Home Quarantine Order (HQO) site to quarantine suspected cases related to Influenza A (H1N1). Thus we have to choose another site.

The new site is Sentosa, and we have already booked a chalet there. All activities will be held in the area around Sentosa instead of the East.

For freshies who wish to signup, please visit http://www.jss.sg/irasshaimase0910/signup.php

For further enquiries, you can PM me or email nusjss AT gmail DOT com (replace AT with @ and DOT with .)
