Ma Maison wasn't intended to be Japanese or European in the first place. It's supposed to be a Japanese imitation of Europe, and we all know how Japanese imitations are supposed to be like.

But I'm up for new restaurants instead. Tried and tested stuff can wait for another time.

Well, as long as it tastes good, I am game. Actually part of the reason why I enjoy Nippon ni kara no Western food is because I want to see (or rather taste) how different it is from what the Europeans cook.

Isn't there like a stretch of Japanese joints along Cuppage Plaza (or whatever that place is called near Centrepoint)? Heard there's one that does really good gyoza.

Ah, sudden craving for yakiniku. Anybody knows anywhere in Singapore where it can be done without bursting your pockets?

WANTED Dead Or Alive !!!! Prince DMC.... $700,000,000
The one at cuppage plaza i ate many times b4.. the ramen is quite good.
If u order the set dinner it's super duper alot so whenever i off-form i cannot finish the fried rice.
If you all going in a big group, i think it will be difficult to find seats cos the place is small.

I feel Marutama is so so. The additional kaidama noodle quite plain and the toppings also quite little. I stopped after 4 kaidama cos i felt sick of it. lol

My friends recommend inagiku at raffles city, followed by Tatsuya at crown prince hotel. Both are expensive though.
