Welcome to New Charles Xavier School for Mutants. A roleplay set in the Marvel Universe (Earth-616) which will change your opinion on Marvel roleplays forever (be that good or worse!). The roleplay is academy-set and will follow the basic code, such as uniforms, classes etc. as much as an additional storyline that will allow you to further develop your character.

Abilities Overview

Upir Phsyiology: Scientifically, the Upir gene is identified as a heritable retroviral anomaly. This anomaly in the certain genomes is what turns people into Upir, but it can only be genetically inherited. It appears that those that are not full Upir but are a portion of it their bloodline will be prone to develop strange deformities such as a tail or different colored eyes. The retroviral anomaly may provide them with extraordinary abilities like strength, speed and pain immunity but it doesn't come without it's downfalls. Much like the supernatural creatures from horror stories Cyrus needs to ingest blood in order to remain healthy, but being cut off from it will not kill him. Because he is not a supernatural creature and his abilities come from a rare genetic mutation he is not vulnerable to sunlight and does not share many of the same traits. Though he hasn't fully matured yet Cyrus still has the following abilities:

Passive Abilities:
  • Enhanced Jaws: Cyrus doesn't have fangs but can partially detach his Jaws to get a wider bite.
  • Infinite Blood Consumption: His body metabolizes blood at incredible speeds.
  • Weather Adaptation: Due to his physiology Cyrus is not affected by harsh weather conditions.
Superhuman Strength: Whist Cyrus isn't on the level of other students who primarily focus on strength, he is still strong. Because of his enhanced bone density and other increased attributes he is capable of performing feats of strength that no other human being can. A S.H.I.E.L.D agent stated that Cyrus has "The strength of twenty full grown men" and that he could easily fight off multiple enemies at once without much trouble. At his peak Cyrus can lift around 3 tonnes of weight above his head.
Superhuman Durability: An Upir's skin and bones are said to be at least six times thicker than a human's which makes them a little challenging to damage if you don't know where to aim. Cyrus has been able to withstand falls from great heights and even blunt force trauma to the head with little to no discomfort at all. Currently he can withstand 3 tonnes at his maximum physical condition.
Superhuman Reflexes:According to tests conducted at one of the S.H.I.E.L.D bases after consuming large quantities of blood Cyrus' reflexes will drastically increase. They started off by having him avoid tennis balls that were being rapidly thrown at him from the other side of the court and then moved on to having him engage multiple targets at once. Though his limits were never completely discovered in his time at S.H.I.E.L.D it's estimated that he can react to attacks that move at roughly 150mph.
Healing Blood:Bruises & Grazes: 15 Seconds
Minor Cuts: 1 Minute
Major Cuts/Minor Burns or Sprains: 3 Minutes
Major Burns or Sprains: 5 Minutes
Minor Breaks/Tissue Damage: 12.5 Minutes
Major Breaks/Tissue Damage: 25 Minutes
Venomous Bite:Cyrus has the ability to inject others with a rare Venom upon biting them. This ability manifested during the last storyline scene where he was capable of biting another student and causing them extreme discomfort. The first stage of the bite causes the target to become dizzy and overcome with a strong sense of disorientation, giving Cyrus the ability to quickly get a grip on the situation. After a few minutes the poison will continue to spread and cause them to feel a burning sensation on the inside of their body, which eventually incapacitates them after around 5 minutes.
Blood Manipulation:As a full blooded Upir who has dedicated the last few months to drinking live blood, Cyrus has gained a few new abilities. He was always aware that his family members were capable of manipulating blood to a certain degree, and when he developed it he didn't have much trouble learning basic techniques. Currently he is capable of using his blood manipulate to control how much he bleeds, clot the blood to prevent himself from bleeding or even re-shape his own blood into different forms. Because he has just started working on this ability Cyrus is unable to manipulate the blood of others unless they are already bleeding, in which case he could manipulate the blood oozing from their bodies. (It goes into more detail about his limitations below)
  • As stated above, Cyrus isn't capable of manipulating the blood of others unless they have already been wounded. Even if his enemy is bleeding there is only a limited amount of things that Cyrus could do to them. He could either speed up the rate that they bleed at or collect the spewing blood and turn into other objects such as swords, shields and platforms. At his current level Cyrus cannot manipulate blood INSIDE of somebody's body.

  • If Cyrus uses too much of his blood to create his structures/constructs he will find himself growing progressively weaker over a small period of time. However, because of his infinite blood consumption/regeneration abilities he will never truly ever run out of blood, making this power extremely useful on the battlefield.

  • This power is purely mental and requires complete focus to use, especially at Cyrus' level. If a telepath were to get inside of his head, or an enemy was to provide a big enough distraction it could potentially render his blood manipulation useless. However, because of the dead nerves throughout his body inflicting physical harm/pain to Cyrus will not hinder his abilities because he is unable to feel the pain that is being administered..
Pheromone Control:Cyrus has demonstrated the ability to manipulate his pheromones for the purpose of suppressing his own scent to such a degree that even mutants with superhuman senses are unable to detect him. He can also use his pheromones to manipulate the emotional state and sensory perceptions of other beings. He has been known to use this power to instill intense fear, happiness, depression, sexual arousal, and a false sense of security to other beings. This allows him to seemingly appear where enemies can't see him, enabling him to inflect damage before an opponent realizes it. Of course, this isn't always effective and varies depending on a few factors. (Reflexes, speed etc.) Such tactics give opponents the belief that he can either teleport or move at superhuman speeds, though he has stated on numerous occasions that he doesn't possess either of those powers. His pheromone powers appear to be physical in nature, not psionic, meaning that even if his focus is broken the pheromones will still remain in action.
  • In order for Cyrus' powers to work on others he must get within at least 15 feet of them. He does not need physical contact to influence others as his pheromones move through the air and get breathed in. Once a target has breathed in his pheromones he has the ability to trigger all of the effects stated above in the main description. The effects of his pheromones last as long as he remains within 15 feet of the target, and will only cease to exist once he leaves that radius. To correctly use this power Cyrus must consume a considerable amount of living blood first to prevent putting a strain on his body.
Weakness Overview

Cyrus' Weaknesses
Hemophelia Serum: Developed by S.H.I.E.L.D as a backup plan to neutralize Cyrus, this enzime inhibiter is meant to cause acute hemophilia, preventing clotting factors and inducing exsesivee bleeding. The affect of it on a living organism was said to be "Like an atom bomb going off in the bloodstream". It would weaken or potentially almost cripple an Upir long enough for them to be killed.
Upir Neurotoxin:An enzyme derived from an Upir's own body can be used for medicinal purposes, breaking down the immune system and weakening an Upirs cellular defences to allow for further treaments. It also causes them to become more human-like, giving their tissue distrophe, chemically enhanced emotions and empathy, accelerated aging and decay. Once being injected with this neurotoxin Cyrus' healing factor will cease to exist temporarily and he will be vulnerable to all human deceases.
Skills Overview

Tracking/Investigation (Intermediate): During his time with S.H.I.E.L.D Cyrus learned how to track people by looking for multiple small clue fragments and then putting them together to find their trail. He originally learned how to track people in an outdoor forested area by observing flattened grass and broken branches but later moved on to investigating interiors.
Hand to Hand Combat (Adept):Cyrus met a man named Agent Silver at one of the military bases he was training at in 2009. Silver helped him understand the basics of combat and assisted him in learning how to use his abilities in unison. By the time he left Silver and the base in 2011 he was trained for small combat operations and was prepared to begin his other training.

Recently Cyrus has continued to train with several members of the staff team including Kitty Pryde and Gambit, allowing him to further his knowledge of martial arts. He is now capable of taking on multiple enemies at once as well as quickly disarm his enemies before they get the chance to use their weapons on him. Rather than target a specific form of martial arts he was trained to become a flexible fighter, meaning he can adapt to his enemies fighting style. Furthermore, he has recently been seen being capable of reversing his enemies attacks one after another and turning it against them for his own benefit.

Seeing as the passives don't really boost your combat in any way, they're good to go. Just that the weather adaptation doesn't grant you stuff such as "able to stand when floor is wet" etc. Nice character, by the way.

Before commenting on my file I think you should do some research next time.

"Pronunciation and spelling of the name differs from country to country and it has variations such as Opir, Opur, Upyr and Upier."
